123PRINT.COM TOOK ON PAT MADISON MAGIC IN THE 2011HOWARD PULLEY PRO AM

123Print.com took on Pat Madison in the 2011 Howard Pulley Pro City Summer League. Both teams got out to a quick start as each team was able to trade baskets in the early goings.

Micheal Beasley from the Minnesota Timberwolves was on the Pat Madison Magic team.

123Print.com started the game off strong. They were able to hit shots that they were putting up. Pat Madison had a hard time making shots.

123Print.com was able to make shots in transition.

At the end the end of the first quarter the score was 123Print.com 30 Pat Madison Magic 21.

123Print.com continued to hit shots though out the second quarter.

Romain Johntell Martin for Pat Madison Magic took the ball hard to the basket. He was able to find his shot.

Deandre Townsend was fouled hard and went to the floor. It took him a while to get up. He is a tough player and stayed in the game after medical personnel looked him over.

123Print.com continued to shoot the ball well. They looked to get the ball into Teddy Archer’s hands. Archer was dead on from all over the court. It didn't matter where we was on the court Archer was able to hit shots from both inside the three-point line and outside of the three-point line.

At halftime the score was 123Print.com 54 and Pat Madison Magic 50.

The third quarter got off to a quick start at both teams looked to shoot the ball. 123Print.com went on a run midway through the third quarter.

At the end of the third quarter the score was 123Print.com 88 and Pat Madison Magic 75.

Pat Madison went on a run to open up the third quarter. They looked to catch up to 123Print.com.

I was impressed by the play of Micheal Beasley. He was all over the court and was to take the ball hard to the basket.

The game was a very physical game. Both teams went hard for loose balls.

The game came down to the wire in the end though. Micheal Beasley tied the game with 2.9 seconds left in regulation.

Teddy Archer hit the winning jump shot at the buzzer to give 123print.com the 109-107 victory over Pat Madison Magic.

ERROL CARLSTROM PLAYAZ TOOK ON INFORMATION INVESTORS IN THE 2011 HOWARD PULLEY PRO CITY SUMMER LEAGUE

The Errol Carlstrom Playaz took on Information Investors in the first game of the night in the 2011 Howard Pulley Pro City Summer League on Wednesday June 29, 2011.

Both teams started off the game trading baskets going back and forth with each other. There were many lead changes in the quarter.

Trevor Mbakwe took the ball hard to the basket for Errol Carlstrom Playaz. He knew where we was on the court at all times and was able to ask for the ball where he knew it was best for him to make his shots.

At the end of the first quarter the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 25 Information Investors 19.

Steve Esselink for Errol Carlstrom Playaz took the ball hard to the basket and was able to get some nice open shots.

Errol Carlstrom Playaz continued to step up and hit shots in the second quarter. Information Investors didn't back down. They looked to slow the pace of the scoring of Errol Carlstrom Playaz.

Zach Towle took the ball hard to the basket for Information Investors. He was able to step up and make shots.

Darren Montagna Glover came off the bench for Information Investors Group and was able to find his shot right away. He came in and was able to give his team an offensive lift.

At halftime the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 56 and Information Investors Group 37.

Both teams started off hot to start the third quarter. Information Investors Group looked to get themselves out of the hole.

Errol Carlstrom Playaz kept taking the ball to the basket and were able to go on a run late in the third quarter.

Andre Hollins for Information Investors Group looked well. He was able to get his teammates involved in the plays and was able to run the show. He also was not afraid to keep the ball and take it hard to the basket himself.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 80 and Information Investors Group 73.

As the fourth quarter got underway both teams went on scoring runs. Information Investors Group was looking for ways to cut into the deficit. They were able to do that late in contest.

Trevor Mbakwe had a nice slam dunk that got his team pumped up and motivated late in the contest.

Errol Carlstrom Playaz came away with the 112-104 victory over Information Investors.

123PRINT.COM TOOK ON EL-AMIN FISH HOUSE IN THE 2011 HOWARD PULLEY PRO CITY SUMMER LEAGUE

123Print.com took on El-Amin Fish House in a basketball game. 123Print.com got out to an early 10-4 lead with 5:50 left in the first quarter.

Paris Dominique Kyles was all over the floor for 123Print.com. He was able to dribble around
his defenders and get to the basket.

For El-Amin Fish House Bruce Price took the ball hard to the basket as he was able to take good shots at the basket.

At the end of the first quarter the score was score was tied at 20.

Both teams continued to look to score baskets. El-Amin Fish House went on a run to open the second quarter.

Deandre Townsed for 123print.com was able to dribble around his defenders with ease.

Dan Coleman took the ball hard to the basket. He was able to step up and knock down a few three-point shots.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. At halftime the score was El-Amin Fish House 51 and 123Print.com 51.

123Print.com looked to pass the ball around the three-point line to take as much time off the clock as they could.

Kyles did a good job of getting his players into spots where they knew where to shoot the ball. He was not afraid to pass up a shot if he knew his teammate had a better shot.

The score went back and forth throughout the third quarter.

Bruce Price was able to step up and knock down some deep three-point shots in the second half.

At the end of the third quarter the score was El-Amin Fish House 72 123Print.com 69.

As the fourth quarter got underway both teams turned up the intensity. Dan Coleman continued to take the ball hard to the basket.

Price was able to keep knocking down shots late in the fourth quarter. Both teams played very physical on both ends of the court. Neither team gave up.

El-Amin's Fish House was able to come away with the 104-97 victory over 123Print.com.

MILLER TIME TOOK ON ERROL CARLSTROM PLAYAZ IN THE 2011 HOWARD PULLEY PROCITY SUMMER LEAGUE

Miller Time took on Errol Carlstrom Playaz in a basketball game. Errol Carlstrom Playaz jumped out to an early 9-4 lead with 5:30 in the first quarter.

Miller Time looked to get the ball into the hands of Tyus Robert Jones. Jones was able to drive past his defenders. He was just so quick and skilled with the ball.

Errol Carlstrom Playaz went on a run late in the first quarter.

At the end of the first quarter the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 23 and Miller Time 14.

Jontae Koonkew for Miller Time ran the floor well. He was able to push the ball down the court and was able to find his open player for an assist.

Miller Time had a hard time finding the basket for a period of in the first half. Errol Carlstrom Playaz continued to make their shots in the first half.

At the end of the first half the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 43 and Miller Time 21.

The third quarter got off to a quick start as the Errol Carlstrom Playaz were able to make most of their shots that they put up.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 80 and Miller Time 58.

Errol Carlstrom Playaz were to much for Miller Time to handle. Miller Time played well throughout the game but in the end Errol Carlstrom Playaz came away with the 103-90 victory.

FUNDAMENTALLY SOUND ATHLETICS TOOK ON INFORMATION INVESTORS GROUP IN THE 2011 HOWARD PULLEY PRO CITY LEAGUE

Fundamentally Sound Athletics took on Information Investors Group in the 2011 Howard Pulley Pro City League. The game got off to a quick start as each team was able to make their shots and keep the game close.

Information Investors Group looked to get the ball into the hands of Zach Towle. Towle drove to the basket and was able to make his shots that he put up.

At the end of the first quarter the score was Information Investors Group 22 and Fundamentally Sound Athletics 32.

Dan Coleman was all over the court. He was able to drive to the basket and make easy baskets.

Fundamentally Sound Athletics went on a run midway through the second quarter.

At halftime the score was Fundamentally Sound Athletics 67 and Information Investors Group 50.

Information Investors Group didn't give up in the third quarter. They were not able to make shots that they put up and they did not get frustrated.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Fundamentally Sound Athletics 109 and Information Investors 92.

The pace of the game was very quick. Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls.

Dan Coleman hand a few nice slam dunks in the fourth quarter when the game was out of hand.

Fundamentally Sound Athletics came away with the 153-122 victory over Information Investors.

HIGH PERFORMANCE ACADEMY TOOK ON PAT MADISON MAGIC IN THE HOWARD PULLEY PRO SUMMER LEAGUE

High Performance Academy took on Pat Madison Magic in a Howard Pulley Summer Pro League game. The scoring went back and forth to start the game. Neither team was able to go on a run.

High Performance Academy looked to get the ball into the hands of Troy Bell. Bell would drive to the basket strong and was able to hit his shots that he put up.

Pat Madison Magic looked to get the ball into the hands of Romain Martin. Martin was all over the court. He was able to blow past his defenders with ease. He was also able to shoot the ball very well.

At the end of the first quarter the score was High Performance Academy 27 and Pat Madison 24.

Eric Coleman for Pat Madison was all over the court. He was able make easy baskets in transition.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half.

Harry Sonie launched deep three-point shots. He was hit and miss as he made some and missed some. Sonie had to get used to the NBA range three-point shot line. Sonie is a high school player from Apple Valley High School.

Both of these teams had a lot of success in shooting the ball.

High Performance Academy looked to push the ball down the court and score as many quick baskets in transition as they could. Troy Bell got the ball out of the net and was able to bring the ball quickly down the court. He took the ball hard to the basket or he dished if off to one of his teammates who would go in and score it.

At halftime the score was High Performance Academy 53 and Pat Madison 49.

As the third quarter got underway both teams continued to shoot the ball. They both continued to take good shots at the basket.

Pat Madison went on a run in the third quarter. High Performance Academy kept on attacking the basket and taking shots.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Pat Madison 93 and High Performance 74.

Pat Madison continued to hit their shots that they put up in the fourth quarter. High Performance used both zone and man-to-man defenses They tried to keep Pat Madison guessing on what they were trying to use.

Romain Jontell Martin was all over the court. He scored 50 points, including the 11 three-point shots.

Pat Madison was able to come away with the 131-92 victory over High Performance Academy. 

2011 MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL STATE FOOTBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION ALL STAR FOOTBALL GAME

The 2011 Minnesota State High School Football Coaches Association held its annual football all star football game at the TCF Bank Stadium. The game was usually played at St. Cloud State University.

The South All Stars kicked off to the North All Stars. The North All Stars were not able to get a first down on the first play and turned the ball over to the South All Stars.

The South All Stars decided to both use the air and the ground to try to fake out the North All Stars.

Both teams tried to get first downs throughout the first quarter.

At the end of the first quarter the score was tied at 0.

North got the ball to begin the second quarter. They tried to keep pounding the ball down the field as they had been doing the whole first quarter.

North threatened to score midway through the second quarter. Jordan Hays scored a touchdown with 8:00 left in the second quarter. The extra point attempt was good.

At halftime the score was North All Stars 7 and the South All Stars 0.

As the third quarter got underway the South had the ball to start the quarter. The South kept the ball on the ground as they tried to get the ball down the middle of the field. They looked to get the ball into the hands of running back Reggie Gandy who was able to chew up some major yards. Eric Riley for North got an interception and was able to run it back for a touchdown for the North. The extra point attempt was good. With 7:18 left in the third quarter the score was North All Stars 14 and South All Stars 0.

North's Josh Vaughan picked up major yards and picked up a first down in the process. South picked up a touchdown by a reception by Josua Gran. The extra point was good.

At the end of the third quarter the score was North 14 and South 7.

As the second quarter got underway South looked to get into the end zone. They were able to get a first down and keep the drive alive.
Steve Kiesel kicked a 20 yard field goal with 3:31 left in regulation.
The North All Stars came away with the 17-7 victory over the South All Stars.

HIGH PERFORMANCE ACADEMY TOOK ON FUNDAMENTALLY SOUND ATHLETICS IN A BASKETBALL GAME

High Performance Academy took on Fundamentally Sound Athletics in the 2011 Howard Pulley Pro City Summer League.

The game started out at a quick pace as each team was able to trade baskets. Rodney Maurice Williams took the ball hard to the basket. He was guarded by Troy Bell. Bell got into the face of Williams and made it hard for him to shoot the ball.

Austin Hollins who plays at the University of Minnesota took the ball hard to the basket. He was able to find his teammate who was open and would knock it down.

At the end of the first quarter the score was High Performance Academy 27 and Fundamentally Sound Athletics 26.

Bell knocked down some deep three-point shots to keep his team in the game.

Harry Sonie for High Performance Academy did a good job of trying to slow down his defender.

Bell could hit both the inside jump shot as well as the outside three-point shot.

High Performance Academy went on a run late in the second quarter.

At halftime the score was High Performance Academy 61 and Fundamentally Sound Athletics 55.

As the second half got underway both teams continued to take the ball hard to the basket. The score continued to go back and forth.

High Performance Academy continued to step up and knock down shots. Fundamentally Sound Athletics didn't get down on themselves. They showed patience with the ball as they swung the ball around the three-point line.

Williams did a good job of getting his teammates involved in the offense. He knew where they were supposed to be on the floor at all times.

High Performance Academy continued their run late in the fourth quarter.

After three quarters of play the score was High Performance Academy 89 and Fundamentally Sound Athletics 80.

Fundamentally Sound Athletics continued to chip away at the deficit.

High Performance Academy looked well throughout the game. I thought that both Troy Bell and Austin 
Hollins played well for them. I also thought that Rodney Williams played well for Fundamentally Sound Athletics.


Fundamentally Sound Athletics went on a run late in the fourth quarter and tied the game with 52 seconds left in regulation.

The score went back and forth the final minute of the game.

The score was tied at 114 at the end of regulation.

Both teams battled for loose balls and dove after them on the floor. Neither team gave up.

Fundamentally Sound Athletics was able to drop a three-point shot with just under 1:45 left in over time High Performance Academy was right there also trying to hit shots that they put up.

Harry Sonie was fouled with 1.5 second being down 3 points. We went to the free throw line and he missed all three free throws.

Fundamentally Sound Athletics came away with the 121-118 victory over High Performance Academy.

ERROL CARLSTROM PLAYAZ TOOK ON PAT MADISON MAGIC IN THE 2011 HOWARD PULLEY PRO CITY SUMMER LEAGUE

Errol Carlstrom Playaz took on the Pat Madison Magic in a pro am game. The game got off to a quick start as each team was able to sink some easy baskets at the start.

Romain Johntell Martin for Pat Madison Magic found his shot early on. He was able to hit it from anywhere on the court.

Jamar Anthony Diggs took the ball hard to the basket in the first quarter. He was able to make a few uncontested baskets.

At the end of the first quarter the score was Pat Madison Magic 28 and Errol Carlstrom Playaz 27.

As the second quarter got underway the score went back and forth. Neither team went on a run. Both teams did a good job of using the shot clock. They would both look to shoot the ball with under 10 seconds remaining.

Trevor Mbakwe was a force around the basket. He would call for the ball near the basket and then power it up. He had a few nice two handed put back dunks.

Both teams were very competitive throughout the first half. Neither team was able to go on a run and the defensive intensity was very tough throughout.

Cameron Clifford Rundles took the ball hard to the basket for the Errol Carlstrom Playaz. He was able to create shots and step up and knock down outside jump shots.

At halftime the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 48 and Pat Madison Magic 46.

Chip Armelin took the ball hard to the basket. He was able to find his shot for Errol Carlstrom Playaz.

Pat Madison Magic did not get discouraged when their shots were not falling for a period of time in the third quarter.

Isaac Daniel Rosefelt for Errol Carlstrom Playaz got his teammates involved in the offense. He was not afraid to pass up a shot if he thought that his teammate had a better shot.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Errol Carlstrom Playaz 74 and Pat Madison Magic 70.

Diggs continued to attack the basket. He was able to get some quick easy baskets early in the fourth quarter.

Errol Carlstrom Playaz went on a run to open up the fourth quarter.

The score went back and forth in the waning minutes of the game. Pat Madison came away with the 103-102 victory over Errol Carlstrom Playaz.

Information Investors Group spread the floor out and they took their time on the offensive end.

Joe Coleman for Information Investors Group found the basket as he was able to drive to the cup and make shots that he put up.

Information Investors went on a run late in the first half.

As the third quarter got underway both teams came out on fire. They each let the shot clock wind down as they took their time setting up plays.

Zach Towle for Information Investors Group took the ball hard to the basket. He also brought the ball down the court and instructed his teammates where to be on the floor.

At the end of the third quarter the score was 123Print.com 73 and Information Investors Group 69.

As the fourth quarter got underway both teams came out shooting the ball well. The defensive intensity also stepped up in the fourth quarter.

The score went back and forth late in the contest.

123Print.com came away with the 105-100 victory over Information Investors Group.

EL-AMIN FISH HOUSE TOOK ON MILLER TIME IN THE 2011 HOWARD PULLEY PRO CITY SUMMER LEAGUE

The 2011 Howard Pulley Pro City Summer League got underway. In the first game El-Amin Fish House took on Miller Time.

The game got off to a quick start as each team was able to hit shots that they put up. Miller Time took an early 17-10 lead with 6:00 left in the first half.

Both teams had to get used to each other. This is the first time that they played with each other.

Levi Jessy Jones for El-Amin came off the bench and provided an offensive spark to keep his team in the game. He was able to step up and knock down shots when he was in the game.

At the end of the first quarter the scored was El-Amin Fish House 27 and Miller Time 26.

Miller Time went on a run to start the second quarter. El-Amin Fish House didn't get frustrated. They kept on shooting shots on where they thought that they could make them.

Kyle Washington for Miller Time was able to dribble around his defenders. He got his shot going midway through the second quarter.

Miller Time went on a run late in the second quarter.

At halftime the score was Miller Time 56 and El-Amin Fish House 43.

As the third quarter got underway Miller Time continued to pound the ball to the basket. El-Amin Fish House didn't get rattled as they continued to apply defensive pressure.

Miller Time did a good job of getting through the El-Amin Fish House's defense.

Miller Time used both man-to-man and zone defenses. That confused the El-Amin Fish House players.

Miller Time continued to put the ball in the basket throughout the third quarter.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Miller Time 77 and El-Amin Fish House 71.

El-Amin Fish House went on a run to open the fourth quarter. Miller Time was able to slow the El-Amin Fish House scoring down a little.

El-Amin Fish House tied the game at 87 with just under 6:00 left in regulation.

The score went back and forth for a period of time late in the contest. The game came down to the wire. Both teams fought hard throughout the whole game. In the end

El-Amin Fish House came away with the 99-98 victory over Miller Time.

2011 INNER CITY ALL STAR GAME

The top 22 graduating seniors in the metro area came to the University of St. Thomas for the annual Inner City All Star Game.

Team Wisdom took on Team Knowledge in the Inner City All Star Game. Both teams got off to a quick start as they were able to get quick fast break baskets.

There was very little defense played by each team. The score went back and forth throughout the first half.

Both teams got everyone involved in the plays.


Team Wisdom got up to a 46-42 lead late in the first half.

No one was afraid to shoot the ball.

In a high scoring first half, Team Wisdom had a 56-50 lead over Team Knowledge.

As the second half got underway Team Wisdom came out on fire. They just took off and were able to hit their shots.

Team Wisdom didn't get down on themselves.

Team Wisdom was way too much for team Knowledge. Wisdom came away with he 104-98 victory over Team Knowledge.

2011 INNER CITY ALL STAR GIRLS BASKETBALL GAME

Twenty of the top female athletes from the twin cities take part in the Inner City All Star Classic. This year’s talent took their show to the courts at the University of St. Thomas.

In the girls' game, Team Faith took on Team Truth. Truth game out in a man-to-man defense.

Neither team was able to shoot the ball well early in the contest. Both teams looked to score easy baskets in transition.

The game was close. Neither team gave up easy baskets.

Both teams subbed everyone at the same time. That gave everyone equal playing time.

Both teams spread the ball out well and they got everyone involved with the plays.

Neither team was able to go on a run in the first half.

At the end of the first half the score was Team Truth 17 and Team Faith 14.

As the second half got underway Team Faith came out on fire. They went on a run to open the second half.

Team Truth dove on the floor after loose balls. Team Faith was equally aggressive. The score went back and forth throughout the second half.

Neither team backed down from each other. The game was close throughout the second half.

Team Truth battled back and they were down a point with 4:00 left in the contest.

The game came down to the wire. In the end Team Truth came away with the 37-36 victory over Team Faith.

The game will be played at Schoenecker Arena on the St. Thomas University campus, located at 2115 Summit Avenue in St. Paul. On Sunday June 19, 2011.

Stillwater took on Rochester Century in the third place game of class AAA of the Minnesota State High School League state tournament game.

Stillwater started out batting first and Pad Gatchell started the game with a single.

ROCHESTER CENTURY TOOK ON BURNSVILLE IN THE MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE STATE SEMIFINAL GAME

Rochester Century took on Burnsville a  boys' baseball semifinal state tournament game. Rochester Century was the first team to bat.

Rochester Century's Mitchel Gabe led off the game in the top of the first inning with a walk.

With the bases loaded Mitchell Brown walked and he  brought in a run.
