MINNESOTA COMETS BLUE TOOK ON MINNESOTA HEAT ELITE 16 U

The Minnesota Comets took on the Minnesota Heat Elite 16 U team. Both of teams were able to hit shots early.

The Heat played aggressive zone defense in the first half. They really got into the faces of Comets players.
In the first half each team was able to shoot the ball well. For the Comets Ibrahim Abdulkadir was really aggressive. He was able to drive to the lane and was not afraid to go into a pack of defenders to come away with a shot.



The first half was back and forth as each team played aggressive defense. At the half time break the score was Comets 28 and the Heat 21.


Each team was able to come out and play tough aggressive defense in the second half. This game was close throughout the game.


The Comets were able to find the basket in the second half. The Heat put on a full court press in the second half. They wanted to try to slow the pace of the game down.


Midway through the second half the parents of the players got into a shouting match. There was a parent of one of the Comets players that was cheering while a Heat player was on the line shooting a free throw. That led to an exchange of verbal jabs between the parents from both teams.


The score was tied at 52 with 2:00 left in regulation. This game came down to the end.


The Comets were able to come away with the victory in a hard fought game. The final of the game was 57-54 victory.
