ELK RIVER FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE DISCIPLINED

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune a total of nine football players will be disciplined for their actions in a hazing incident.

The Elk River School board met over the weekend in a special meeting to decide the players and coaches discipline action regarding the incident.

According to the report three players will be suspended for four games. And two players will have to sit out one game. Four players have been kicked off of the football team because of their actions.

The Elk River school board reinstated seven coaches from paid administrative leave. Five coaches are still on paid administrative leave pending more district investigations that will take place this week.

Elk River opens the 2010 season against Becker on Thursday September 2, 2010.
