Raymond Cowles from Hopkins has made a verbal commitment to play basketball at Santa Clara according to Ryan James of Minnesota Preps. Other schools that showed interest in Raymond were Iowa, Northwestern Iowa, Western Michigan, UW-Milwaukee and UW- Green Bay. He is a solid player.
Former Gophers Basketball coach James Ware who was the University of Minnesota Assistant coach at the University of Minnesota is now an Assistant Coach at Santa Clara and that was another reason that Raymond Cowles picked Santa Clara.
