EL AMIN FISH HOUSE TOOOK ON TRP GROUP

On a Tuesday on a shorten week due to the 4th of July holiday there are only games Monday and Tuesday. In the first game it was El Amin Fish House against Sabes TRP group.

Both teams were able to make some quick baskets early in the first quarter. Ralph Sampson made an appearance in the game. Will Leftwich came down with some nice powerful dunks in the first half.

Paul Carter made some nice moves around the basket. He took it strong to the basket looking to score when he was wide open. He wasn’t afraid to make shots in traffic.

At the end of the first quarter the score was tied at 27.

Jefferson Mason was not afraid to battle Devron Bostick. They guarded each other very well. They tried hard to outwork each other.

Justin Cobb looked well in the game. He had a nice jump shot that was a mid range shot that he was able to make.

Throughout the first half the score was kept close. There was an attempt to play some defense in the first half. In a league that is know it’s very fast pace style of play and a focus on NBA style of defense the scores tend to be a little higher.

At the half the score was Sabes TRP Group 51 and El Amin Fish House 53.

Both teams came out on fire in the third quarter. Rich Melszer really got involved in the game. He was all over the court creating havoc on the defensive end. He played aggressively and he was forcing the other team to pass the ball when he was guarding them.

The score was close throughout the third quarter. The score after the third quarter was Sabes TRP Group 74 and El Amin Fish House 70.

All of the Gophers did a good job in the game I thought. Devron Bostick was able to play with a lot of intensity. Paul Carter did the little things in the low block very well. He camped out in the low block and he was able to score bunny shots with ease.

Kevin Henderson made some nice shots at the beginning of the fourth quarter. He had the hot hand coming into the fourth and he kept the shooting up in the fourth.

TRP stepped up their defensive pressure in the fourth quarter. They were able to come close in the fourth quarter.

Paul Carter came down with a monster dunk with under a minute to play to tie the game up. He really has looked impressive in the game I thought.

El Amin Fish House came away with the 93-91 victory.

For TRP Group Rich Melzer was the leading scorer he scored 19 points. Justin Cobbs scored 12 points. For El Amin Fish House Vince Grier scored 14 points. Paul Carter scored 14 points. Sentrell Henderson scored 13 points and Bruce Price scored 16 points.
