KEVIN NOREEN COMMITS TO BOSTON COLLGE

Minnesota Transitions star basketball player has verbally committed to Boston College. We will graduate from high school in the spring of 2010. John Sherman is his high school coach this is what he had to say about Kevin Noreen. “I have coached Kevin for five years at the varsity level. In that span he has been a starter at all five positions ----- 3 as a 7th grader, 2 as an 8th grader, 1 as a ninth grader, 5 as a sophomore and 4 last year as a junior. I don't think there is another player in the country that has ever done that, and Kevin performed admirably at all five spots. Obviously, his strengths are versatility and ability to score from anywhere on the floor. He is a career 49 percent three-point shooter and last year averaged 32.8 points per game to lead the state. This season he will become the state's all-time leading scorer, and he has done it unselfishly. Off the court, he is a good citizen and an "A" student. I believe he will play the 4 spot in college. He is a legitimate 6-10 now and still possesses the guard skills of his younger days. It is a pleasure to coach Kevin in all respects.”

Kevin’s dad Jerry Noreen is an assistant coach at Minnesota Transitions. “Jerry Noreen has coached with me at MTS for five years and has been a Magic coach for 5 years. Kyle Noreen, who will be a junior, is a 6-5 guard, entering his fourth year as a starter. He has scholarship offers from 2 DI schools, Liberty University and the University of Denver. He is going to the New Mexico and Iowa camps this summer and has already been to the camps at Virginia, Marquette, Boston College and Virginia Commonwealth. Kyle has mega-hops and shows a variety of dunking skills. Excellent ball handler, great shooter, he could easily become a high Division I prospect.”
