ARMSTRONG WENT UP AGAINST OSSEO IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Armstrong and Osseo squared off in a boys' basketball game on Feb. 1. Osseo pushed the ball down the floor and looked to score baskets in transition.
 
The score went back and forth early. Neither team went on a huge run.
 
Osseo started out in a zone defense. They didn’t want Armstrong to take deep shots.
 
Armstrong looked to get the ball into the hands of True Thompson. True Thompson took the ball hard to the basket and was able to make mid-range jump shots and layups.
 
Armstrong’s Jubie Alade came up with big shots. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
 
Osseo passed the ball around the 3-point as they looked to get into their offense. Osseo’s Kyle Williams came up with 3-point baskets.
 
Osseo looked to trap Armstrong and create turnovers. And then come up with layups off the turnovers.
 
Neither team went on a huge run in the first half. There were multiple ties and lead changes throughout the first half.
 
Osseo’s Dontae Jones came up with deep 3-point shots to keep his team in the game.  
 
Osseo’s Allen Anderson picked up with 3rd personal foul with just over 4 minutes left in the first half.
 
Armstrong called a timeout with 4:05 left in the first half. The score was Osseo 31, Armstrong 29.
 
The score continued to go back and forth late in the first half.  
 
At halftime the score was Armstrong 38, Osseo 37.  
 
As the second half got underway Armstrong continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.
 
Armstrong’s Alade came up with huge mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half.
 
Osseo’s Matt Bezdicek came off the bench and came up with big mid-range jump shots and layups.
 
Osseo called a timeout with 10:48 left in regulation. The score was Armstrong 53, Osseo 47.
 
Armstrong used their quickness to get to the basket and come up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
 
Neither team went on a run in the second half.
 
Osseo came up with big baskets from everyone on offense.  
 
Armstrong called a timeout with 7:16 left in regulation. The score was Armstrong 59, Osseo 54.
 
Alade continued to come up with big mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
 
Osseo’s Damario Armstrong came up with mid-range jump shot and layups late in the second half.
 
Armstrong also came up with huge 3-point shots. Teammate Matt Bezdicek also came up with 3-point shots.
 
The game came down to the wire. Neither team went on a huge run in the game.
 
Osseo called a timeout with 48.7 left in regulation. The score was Armstrong 68, Osseo 67.
 
Jones came up with late mid-range jump shots and 3-point baskets that gave Osseo the lead.
 
Osseo came away with the 72-70 victory over Armstrong.
 
The leading scorers for Armstrong were Alade with 22 points and True Thompson with 17 points.
 
The leading scorers for Osseo were Armstrong with 18 points and Jones with 17 points.
