MINNEAPOLIS NORTH AND MINNEAPOLIS PATRICK HENRY SQUARED OFF IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Dec. 14, Minneapolis North and Minneapolis Patrick Henry squared off in a boys’ basketball game. The game was played at Henry High School. As usual, as a rivalry game goes there was a lively crowd.

Henry started out the game in a zone defense. Both teams looked to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

North’s Eli Campbell drove the ball down the floor and got everyone involved in the offense. North was able to move the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

Henry went to a full court press and was able to turn Henry over. It took a while for Henry to get into an offensive shooting rhythm.

North called a timeout with 15:30 left to go in the first half. The score was North 9, Henry 4.

Henry took their time as they looked to find their shot that they wanted to take.

North used their quickness to get around the Henry defenders.

North’s Nasir El-Amin was all over the floor. On the offensive end he was able to make mid-range jump shots and layups.

Henry called a timeout with 13:15 left in the first half. The score was North 16, Henry 5.

North’s Josh Hodges came up with rebounds. He was able to get the ball to his teammates who brought it down the floor.

After Henry’s slow start offensively, they were able to get their shots to fall.

North called a timeout with 8:14 left in the first half. The score was North 20, Henry 17.

North continued to push the tempo. North was also able to get everyone involved in the offense. They took their time on the offensive end.

North was able to make layups in transition.

Henry got flustered late in the first half, as their shots were not falling. Even though they had difficulty shooting the ball, they kept on shooting the ball.

Henry called a timeout with 3:00 left in the first half. The score was North 38, Henry 25.

Cambell came up with big 3-point shots late in the first half.

North called a timeout with 1:45 left in the first half. The score was North 42, Henry 27.

Henry looked to come up with steals and layups late in the first half.

At halftime the score was North 46, Henry 32.

As the second half got underway North continued to push the ball down the floor and looked to score baskets in transition.

North continued to push the ball down the floor and get the ball into the hands of Omar Brown. Omar Brown got the basket and came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.

Both teams got sloppy at times as both teams created multiple turnovers.

North kept on attacking the basket and coming up with layups and mid-range jump shots.

North called a timeout with 11:07 left in regulation. The score was North 64, Henry 45.

Henry’s Glentrell Carter came up with layups in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

North continued to run their offense throughout the second half. North was able to control the tempo early. Henry couldn’t keep up with North in transition.

North called a timeout with 3:34. The score was North 89, Henry 57.

The game got away from Henry late in the first half. North’s quickness

North came away with the 99-60 victory over Henry.
