ROCHESTER CENTURY TOOK ON BURNSVILLE IN THE MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE STATE SEMIFINAL GAME

Rochester Century took on Burnsville a  boys' baseball semifinal state tournament game. Rochester Century was the first team to bat.

Rochester Century's Mitchel Gabe led off the game in the top of the first inning with a walk.

Josh Denison hit a bouncer to the shortstop for a single.

John Meyer walked to load the bases.

With the bases loaded Mitchell Brown walked and he  brought in a run.

Tyler Wright hit a liner to right field and a run came in.

Nick Merges struck out.

Jared Britson popped out to end the inning.

BOTTOM OF THE FIRST INNING

Dan Motl led off the bottom of the first inning for Burnsville.

Matt Stemper walked.

Derek Johnson got a hit and advanced the runner to third base.

Justin Threkeld reached second base on an error.

At the end of the first inning the score was Rochester Century 2 and Burnsville 1.

TOP OF THE SECOND INNING

With two outs Mitchel Gabe reached second base on a double

Josh Denison hit a bouncer to center field and Mitchel Gabe scored.

John Meyer was the final out of the inning

BOTTOM OF THE SECOND INNING

Bo Hellquist led off the Burnsville half of the second inning with a single.

Brian Vanderwoude hit a bouncer to center field for a single.

Tyler Hill got a single to load the bases.

Dan Motl flew out to the second baseman.

Andy Lieser hit a single to center field and that brought in two runs.

Matt Stemper hit a single and a run scored.

Derek Johnson ended the inning by flying out to right field.

TOP OF THE THIRD INNING

Mitchell Brown hit a single.

Tyler Wright was out in a double play

Nick Merges hit a single to left field.

Nick Merges stole second base.

Jered Briston struck out to end the inning.

TOP OF THE FOURTH

Rochester Century's Nolan VanNurden struck out

Alex Carlson bounced out to first base.

 Mitchel Gabe hit a single and stole second base.

Andy Lieser got a single and a run scored.

Matt Stemper flew out for the last out of the inning.

TOP OF THE SIXTH INNING

Rochester Century's Calvin Bjerke got a single

Alex Carlson got to first on a fielder’s choice.

Mitchell Gabe struck out.

Josh Denison walked.

John Meyer struck out for the last out of the inning.

BOTTOM OF THE SIXTH INNING

Tyler Hill got the first out of the inning.

Dan Motl hit a single to left field. Then he stole second base.

Andy Lieser was thrown out at first base but a runner advanced to third base.

Matt Stemper hit a single to right field and a run scored.

Matt Stemper stole second base.

Derek Johnson flew out to center field for the final out of the inning.

Burnsville came away with the 6-4 victory over Rochester Century.
