ST. PAUL CENTRAL TOOK ON ST PAUL ST. PAUL HARDING IN A HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME

St. Paul Central came over to St. Paul Harding High School for a football game. Both teams came into the game with a record of 3-2.

Harding kicked off to Central to start the game. Central got the ball on the 44 yard line. Central used both the run and the pass game to get the ball down the field on the first drive. Seamus Walsh found the end zone for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was no good.

With 8:40 left in the first quarter the score was Central 6 and Harding 0.

Central kicked off to Harding after the touchdown Harding got the ball on their own 19 yard line. Harding brought out the trick play as they called a double reverse flea flicker play and it worked. They were able to pick up forty yards on the play. Harding was intercepted and the ball went back to Central.

Central got the ball back on their 18 yard line. Central's Garrett Gardner came up with some nice runs. He was able to pick up first downs throughout the first half. LaDra Kilgore-Hodges was able to find holes in the Harding defense as he was able to get first downs. Davion Johnson found the end zone for a touchdown. The two point conversion by Davion Johnson was good.

Harding took a timeout with 56 seconds left in the first quarter.

At the end the first quarter the score was Central 14 and Harding 0.

Central got the ball to start the second quarter. Theo Haslow made some nice catches for Central. He was able to get the ball while he was diving for it and was successful in getting the ball. LaDra Kilgore-Hodges continued to come up with some nice plays. Central tried a 30 yard field attempt and was not successful. Harding picked up the ball and got the ball to the 40 yard line.

Harding looked to drive again. They were not able to get a first down and they punted to the ball to Central.

Central was not able to get a first down and Harding got the ball back. Harding threatened to score late in the quarter. On fourth down and six yards to go they went for it and they were not able to get the first down or touchdown.

At halftime the score was Central 14 and Harding 0.

Central kicked off to Harding to start the third quarter. Harding started the drive off on the ground attack as they used their running game. Harding’s Antonio Wagener found holes in the Central defense and was able to take advantage of the as he was able to pick up some valuable yards. Harding was not able to pick up a first down.

Central got the ball back. They were able to keep pounding the ball on the ground. Davion Jason picked up a 34 yard run. Montrell Williams found the end zone for a touchdown on a nice reception. The extra point attempt was not good.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Central 20 and Harding 0.

Central kicked the ball to start the fourth quarter. Harding was not able to get a first down on the drive and they had to punt it back to Central.

Central picked up a first down on their first drive. LeDra Kilgore Hodges found the end zone for a touchdown The two point conversion was good.

With 8:54 left in regulation the score was Central 28 and Harding 0.

Harding got the ball back after the touchdown Harding got a first down and they continued to try to get the ball down the field. They were not able to get a first down and they tuned the ball over to Central on downs.

Central kept the ball in the hands of LaDra Kilgore-Hodges. Montrell Williams came up with a touchdown reception. The extra point attempt was good.

Central was able to come away with the 35-0 victory over Harding.

After the game I was able to talk to Central's La DraKilgore-Hodges, Montrell Williams and head coach Scott Howell about the game.
