ST. MARY'S UNIVERSITY TOOK ON CONCORDIA ST. PAUL IN A MEN'S BASKETBALL EXHIBITION GAME

St. Mary's University from Winona, Minnesota took on Concordia St. Paul for an exhibition men's basketball game.

Concordia started out in a man-to-man defense. Both teams found their shots early on. The score went back and forth in the early goings.

St. Mary's looked to get the ball into LaMonte Hall's hands. LaMonte Hall did a good job of getting his teammates involved in the offense.

Concordia looked to get the ball into the hands of Terez Wayne VanPelt. He did a good job of getting his teammates involved in the offense.

St. Mary's went to a zone defense. They looked to spread Concordia out.

Concordia called a timeout with 14:41 left in the first half. The score was St. Mary's 20 and Concordia 15.

Zach Richard Towle found his three-point shot. He was afraid to shoot the ball from any where on the floor.

Pat Freeman for St. Mary's did a good job of shooting the ball. He was able to make shots from mostly inside the three-point line.

Concordia went to a full court press. They wanted to make it as hard as possible for St. Mary's to hit their shots.

St. Mary's called a timeout with 10:58 left in the first half. The score was Concordia St. Paul 28 and St. Mary's 27.

Concordia stayed in a zone defense. Concordia made it hard for St. Mary's to shoot the ball.

The Concordia guards did a job of getting the ball down the court as quickly as they could.

At 8:08 left in the first half there was a media timeout. The score was Concordia 38 and St. Mary's 29.

Concordia went on a run midway through the first half. St. Mary's did not give up. Concordia was able to hit all of their shots that they were put up. They were hitting on layups and jump shots.

St. Mary's called a timeout with 3:43 left in the first half. The score was Concordia 50 and St. Mary's 34.

Concordia continued to look to hit their shots and take as much time off the clock as they could.

At halftime the score was Concordia 56 and St. Mary's 41.

Concordia got the ball to start the second half. Terez Wayne VanPelt hit a nice little jumper at the top of the key for the first basket of the second half.

Concordia started the second half in a zone defense. They were able to slow down St. Mary's on the offensive end.

Concordia was able to make as many layups as they wanted to. St. Mary's tried to guard the open man but Concordia was still able to hit shots.

St. Mary's called a timeout with 15:50 left in regulation. The score was Concordia 70 and St. Mary's 48.

Kenny Olafeso did a good job of making his layups. He always knew where he was going on the floor and was able to communicate that to his teammates.

Isaiah Thomas for Concordia found his midrange  jump shot. He was not afraid to shoot it.

Concordia stepped outside of the three-point line and they were successful at knocking down three-point shots midway through the second half.

St. Mary's called a timeout with 7:24 left in regulation with the score Concordia 98 and St. Mary's 63.

Concordia with the game well in hand continued to shoot the ball well late in the contest. I though that both teams fought hard. St. Mary's was not able to hit their shots and Concordia was too strong for them.

Concordia came away with the 115-75 victory over St. Mary's University. The leading scorers for St. Mary's were Pat Freeman with 27 points and Michael with 18 points. They shot 28-63 from the field that included going 9-16 from behind the three-point line.

The leading scorers for Concordia were Kenny Olafeso with 23 points Terez Wayne VanPelt with 22 points and Cole Olstad with 18 points. They shot 47-72 from the field that included going 9-24 from behind the three-point line.
