THE NEW YORK COSMOS WENT UP AGAINST THE MINNESOTA UNITED FC IN A SOCCER GAME

On April 23 the New York Cosmos and the Minnesota United FC squared off in a soccer game in Blaine at the National Sports Center.

Minnesota looked to move the ball down the field quickly at the start of the game. They wanted to keep the ball out of the New York Cosmos zone.

New York’s Andres Flores came up with some big shots on goal early. New York looked to attack the goal.

Both teams did a good job of getting the ball down the field quickly.                   

At halftime the score was tied at 0.

As the second half got underway Minnesota continued to push the ball down the field as they looked for ways to score.

New York also looked to score goals as they had chances to score midway through the second half.

Neither team game up easy shots on goal. The game was played at a good clip. Both teams played hard throughout the game. It was an evenly played game.

In the 90th minute Minnesota’s Christian Ramirez came up with a goal that gave Minnesota a 1-0 lead. 

The game went into a 6-minute stoppage time.

Minnesota came away with the 1-0 victory over New York.

The attendance of the game was 9078.
