WAYZATA WENT UP AGAINST EAST RIDGE IN A BOYS’ STATE SOCCER GAME

Wayzata and East Ridge went up against each other in the semifinals of the Minnesota State High School Leagues tournament.

Wayzata did a good job of moving the ball down the field. 

Wayzata’s Lewis O’Connor scored a goal with 26:38 left in the first half.

With that goal that made the score Wayzata 1, East Ridge 0. 

Wayzata continued to move the ball well down the field. They were quick on their feet and were able to dribble the ball past the East Ridge defenders.

After one half of play the score was Wayzata 1, East Ridge 0.

As the second half got underway Wayzata continued to look to get the ball down the field.

Wayzata’s Clayton Smith found the goal with 32:53 left in the second half.

East Ridge continued to look for scoring chances but they were not able to find the back of the net.

Wayzata came away with the 2-0 victory over East Ridge.
