I am at the 2008 Summer Jam in Bloomington. I will try to provide coverage of the 2008 Summer Jam. Due to program information that was not provided information for publication it will be difficult to identify some of the players that are playing so you will have to bear with me.
In the 15u division
In the first game of the day it is The Minnesota Stars taking on The Enderlin Ballers. Both teams are playing a combination of zone and man defense. Midway through the first half both teams are shooting the ball well.
For the Enderlin Ballers Stephanie Stensgard is playing the post. She is a big girl and she has made some fantastic low post moves. And she can also get up the court. Both teams are making their shots. Both teams are battling here in mid way through the first half.
The Minnesota Stars are ahead 26-14 with 4:22 left in the first half. The Ballers are playing well and they are not letting down. The Minnesota Stars are running a lot of fast breaks in the last part of the first half. The Elgin Ballers are in a slump they have not been able to score in the last 4 minutes.
The Minnesota Stars came out firing on all cylinders. They are making shots that they are putting up and the Enderlin Ballers shots they are putting up are not going in. They are trying very hard. During a time out the Enderlin coach was telling his players not to give up and to keep their heads in the game.
The Ballers are trying to make a come back in the middle of the second half. But the Minnesota Stars were having nothing to do with it. Towards the 4:00 mark in the second half the Minnesota Starts were still playing well and making there shots.
As this game comes to an end it looks like The Minnesota Stars were too much for this Enderlin Ballers team. Both teams played well but in end the Stars just ran away with it. The final of the game was The Minnesota Stars 55 and The Enderlin Ballers 36.
