RICE LAKE WENT UP AGAINST MINNETONKA IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Rice Lake and Minnetonka squared off in a boys’ basketball game. Rice Lake looked to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

Rice Lake got the ball into the hands of Henry Ellenson. Ellenson took the ball hard to the basket and was able to hit layups. He also was able to come up with a two handed slam dunk. 


Minnetonka’s Amar Miller was all over the floor. On the offensive end he was able to get to the basket and hit layups. 

Rice Lake called a timeout with 8:42 left in the first half. The score was Minnetonka 23, Rice Lake 17. 

Neither team went on a run in the first half. Both teams played good man-to-man defense.

Minnetonka’s Cedric Boone stepped up and knocked down some deep three-point baskets. 

Rice Lake called a timeout with 5:21 left in the first half. The score was Minnetonka 35, Rice Lake 26. 

The Minnetonka defense created a lot of turnovers as the pressure bothered Rice Lake. Minnetonka was able to score off of turnovers. 

Minnetonka’s Seth Coatta was all over the floor. On the offensive end we was able to get to the basket and hit layups. 

At halftime the score was Minnetonka 47, Rice Lake 37. 

Minnetonka continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition. 

Rice Lake continued to get the ball into the hands of Ellenson. Ellenson continued to make layups and mid-range jump shots in the second half. 

Minnetonka called a timeout with 13:07 left in regulation. The score was Minnetonka 53, Rice Lake 48. 

The score went back and forth late in the contest. 

Rice Lake wasn’t able to finish shots late in the game. Minnetonka came away with the 92-81 victory over Rice Lake. 

The leading scorer for Rice Lake was Ellenson with 48 points. 

Minnetonka was lead in scoring by Coatta with 26 points.
