HOWARD PULLEY BYE VS A & A MILLWORK

The Howard Pulley Pro City Summer League is back in action. In the first game of the night it is Howard Pulley Bye what is the Howard Pulley 17U AAU team going against A & A Millwork. Both teams are trying to push the ball up the court. In this league that is the norm as both teams just like to get out and run and gun.

Vince Geer who played for the University of Minnesota and then he went on to play with an NBA team has made some unbelievable passes and dunks here in the first quarter. Johnny Gilbert who went to Minneapolis Henry and Oklahoma University has also has made some good passes and dunks here in the opening quarter.

This game has been up and down the court. Both teams have been getting the ball up and down the court. Howard Pulley 17U team is running plays. They have set plays that get called out by their coach. They are using this summer league for preparation for their AAU circuit. This team plays on the Nike AAU circuit. They are a Nike sponsored team. There next tournament is July in Georgia for the Nike Peach Jam.

At the end of the first quarter it is Howard Pulley Bye 20 and A & A Millwork 25.

As the second quarter gets underway here at the Sal in St Paul both teams are putting on a good show here. Vince Greer has had a couple of monster dunks threw out this game. He has played well here through out the first half.

It is a close game here midway through the second quarter with 4:55 left to go in the second quarter it is Hp White 32 and A & A Millwork 39. Johnny Gilbert who is playing on the A and A Millwork have made some monster dunks here in the first half. He knows the floor well and he can still get up the court. In the last 2:00 of the second quarter A & A Millwork has gone on a run to close out the first half. At half time the score is Howard Pulley Bye 42 and A & A Millwork 54.

As the second half gets underway here the Howard Pulley Bye is on the attack. They are attacking the basket. Coach Harris is shouting instructions of “attack, attack.” He is looking for his guards to push the ball up the court. He is having fun with this but he also knows that he has to use these games to prepare his team when they go on the road. They also have to adjust to the NBA rules that they are not used to.

With 7:45 left to go in the game it is A & A Millwork 60 and Howard Pulley White 50. Sentrell Henderson is playing well for Howard Pulley White. He has put in hard work in the low post. He is regarded as one of the top big man in the nation and he is also being recruited for football. Both teams are playing with a lot if intensity here in the middle of the third quarter. Marcus Williams has made some good plays here in the second half. He has made some good hard passes to the open players and has made some good up and under moves to fake out the opponent in the game.

At the end of the third quarter the score is Howard Pulley Bye 65 and A & A Millwork 87.

Now we will see who brings it here in the fourth quarter. Howard Pulley Bye will need to show up here in fourth quarter to get back in this game in order to win this game. I think that A & A Millwork will bring it home because they are much bigger and stronger then the Howard Pulley Bye team is but you do have to give these kids credit for working hard they have given it there all and they are still playing hard.

Howard Pulley Bye is still running their stuff and they have been doing a good job of it. They have set a lot of good screens. They have just gotten out manned here in the later part of the game. It was A & A Millwork’s night as they came away with the victory by the final of 117-91.
