WHITE BEAR LAKE TOOK ON ST. MICHAEL ALBERTVILLE IN A QUARTERFINAL GIRLS’ BASKETBALL CONTEST

White Bear Lake took on St. Michael Albertville in the girls’ basketball state tournament.


White Bear Lake continued to make shots throughout the first half. They took their time on the offensive end.
Alexis Foley for White Bear Lake came up really big in the first half. Her shot was dead on as she was able to make shots at will.


Both teams played very aggressively on the defensive end. White Bear Lake was able to drop a few consecutive shots and St. Michael Albertville could not stop them from scoring.


White Bear Lake was not afraid to shoot the ball. They were determined to make the basket whenever they could.


At the half the score was White Bear Lake 28 and St. Michael Albertville 20.


As the second half got underway both teams came out strong. St. Michael Albertville continued to look to dive to the basket.


White Bear Lake went on a run midway through the second half. They were able to knock down shots throughout the game.


White Bear Lake’s Alexis Foley shots were on. She was able to knock down critical shots. Her teammates were able to find her and she stepped up big.


White Bear Lake played tough aggressive defense. On the defensive end they shut down St. Michael Albertville.


White Bear Lake was able to come out at halftime and basically shut them down.


Julia Dysthe played really well. She was one of the key players for White Bear Lake. Also Alexis Foley stepped up big for White Bear Lake.


White Bear Lake was able to come away with the 64-51 victory over St. Michael Albertville. St Michael Albertville was led in scoring by Julia Dysthe and Alexis Foley who each had 23 points.


After the game I was able to talk to White Bear Lakes head coach Jeremy Post and Alexis Foley.
