CHASKA WENT UP AGAINST ST. PAUL COMO PARK IN A BOYS’ STATE CLASS A STATE SOCCER GAME

Chaska and Como Park squared off against each other in a boys’ state soccer game at Chisago Lakes High School.

Both teams did a good job of getting the ball down the field.

Como Park was able to keep the ball in the Chaska zone. Both teams did a good job of getting the ball down the middle of the field. Neither team had a clear chance on the goal.

Both teams had chances to score throughout the first half.

At halftime the score was tied at 0.

As the second half got underway both teams kept on attacking the net. Both teams were evenly matched. They looked like that they have scouted each other because they seemed to know where the other team was going to be on the field.

The goalies did a good job of defending their goals as they both came up with some big saves throughout the game.

With 16:38 left in the second half Chaska’s Andrew Leck scored a goal.

With that goal that made that score Chaska 1, St. Paul Como Park 0.

Chaska continued to move the ball well down the field. They were able to keep Como Park on their toes as they went after the ball.

St. Paul Como Park continued to go after the ball. They were able to attack the goal and take good shots.

Chaska’s Jose Cholico scored a goal with 4:23 left in regulation.

With that goal that made the score Chaska 2, St. Paul Como Park 0.

That was the final.
