IOWA CITY WEST WENT UP AGAINST APPLE VALLEY IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME
Iowa City West and Apple Valley squared off against each other in a boys basketball game. Iowa
City West pushed the ball down the floor and was able to make layups.
Apple Valley looked to get everyone involved in the offense.
Apple Valley called a timeout with 11:27 left in the first half. The score was tied at 10.
Apple Valley’s Tre Jones was all over the floor. On the offensive end he directed traffic and knew where his teammates were supposed to be on the floor.
Neither team went on a run in the first half.
At halftime the score was Apple Valley 31, Iowa City West 27.
As the second half got underway both teams traded baskets.
Iowa City West’s Connor McCaffery came up with some huge baskets that kept Iowa City West in the game. He also stepped up and knocked down deep 3-point shots.

Apple Valley looked to get the ball into the hands of Gary Trent Jr. Trent got to the basket and made his layups.
Apple Valley called a timeout with 4:51 left in regulation. The score was Apple Valley 62, Iowa City 54.
Apple Valley continued to attack the basket late in the game.
Apple Valley came away with the 72-64 victory over Iowa City West.
The leading scorer for Iowa City West was Connor McCaffery with 28 points.
The leading scorers for Apple Valley were Trent with 25 and Jones with 23 points.
