SOUTH ST. PAUL WENT UP AGAINST BECKER IN THE CLASS AAAA STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

South St. Paul and Becker went up against each other in the Class AAAA state football finals.
 
Becker came up with a touchdown with 6:08 left in the first quarter on a Beau Pauly. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 6:08 left in the first quarter the score was Becker 7, South St. Paul 0.
 
South St. Paul turned the ball over on downs.
 
Becker took over on the 41-yard line. Becker’s Gabe Dertinger came up with a 41-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 2:14 left in the first quarter the score was Becker 14, South St. Paul 0.
 
South St. Paul went to a hurry up offense late in the first quarter. On 4th-and-10 they punted the ball.
 
After one quarter of play the score was Becker 14, South St. Paul 0.
 
Becker’s Andrew Stanger found teammate Clayton Gallus for a 77-yard touchdown reception. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 11:07 left in the first quarter the score was Becker 21, South St. Paul 0.
 
South St. Paul punted on 4th-down.
 
Becker punted on 4th-down.
 
South St. Paul got the ball back on their own 44-yard line. Becker got the ball back on downs.
 
Becker looked to get the ball into the end zone late in the second quarter. Becker found the end zone on a Gabe Dertinger rush for a 3-yard touchdown. The extra-point attempt the score was Becker 28, South St. Paul 0.

Becker looked to keep the ball on the ground early in the fourth quarter.  Becker got the ball into the end zone on a 1-yard touchdown run by Andrew Stanger. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 5:15 left in the fourth quarter the score was Becker 35, South St. Paul 0.
 
South St. Paul looked to the air as they wanted to get the ball into the end zone. South St. Paul got a touchdown on a 1-yard touchdown run by Pietruszewski the extra-point attempt was good.
 
That made the score Becker 35, South St. Paul 7.
 
South St. Paul got the ball back after that touchdown and they looked to get back into the end zone.
 
South St. Paul’s Piertuszenwski found Austin Brandecker in the end zone for an 11-yard touchdown reception. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
Becker came away with the 35-14 victory over South St. Paul.
