COON RAPIDS WENT UP AGAINST CHASKA IN THE CLASS 5A SEMIFINALS IN STATE FOOTBALL

Coon Rapids and Chaska went up against each other in the Class 5A state football semifinal. The game was played at the US Bank Stadium.

Coon Rapids kicked off to start. Chaska started on its own 23-yard line. Chaska looked to move the ball down the field on the ground. Chaska’s Nic Snuggerud came up with receptions as they moved the ball down the field. Chaska was picked off by Shakiran Williams and came up with a 10-yard run.

Chaska took over on the Coon Rapids 40-yard line. Coon Rapids was intercepted by Kage Montoya.

Chaska’s Matthew Kuntz came up with runs as they looked to get past the Coon Rapids defense. Chaska’s Grif Wurtz found Nic Snuggerud for a 96-yard touchdown reception. The extra point attempt was good.

With 8:45 left in the first quarter, the score was Chaska 7, Coon Rapids 0.

Coon Rapids tried to move the ball down the field and turned the ball over on downs.

Chaska’s Stevo Klotz came up with rushes that moved the chains. Chaska looked to move the ball down the field. Chaska quarterback Grif Wurtz kept the ball on the ground as they looked to come up with first downs. Teammate Nic Snuggerud came up with big plays. Chaska turned the ball over on downs.

Coon Rapids took over on their own 44-yard line. Coon Rapids was intercepted by Michael Brown of Chaska.

Chaska took over on their own 46-yard line. Chaska moved the ball down the field once again.

After one quarter of play, the score was Chaska 7, Coon Rapids 0.

Chaska’s Klotz came up with a 36-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.

Coon Rapids took over on their own 26-yard line. Coon Rapids punted on 4th-down.

Chaska took over on their own 32-yard line. Chaska kept moving the ball down the field. Chaska kept the ball on the ground and kept it in the hands of Klotz. Chaska fumbled the ball and Coon Rapids recovered.

Coon Rapids got the ball back on their own 26-yard line. Coon Rapids looked air the ball out. On 4th-and-10 Coon Rapids punted the ball.

Chaska took over on their own 40-yard line. Chaska kept he ball in the hands of Kuntz. Jamal Akons came up with a first down reception. Kuntz was all over the field. The defense had a difficult time slowing him down.

Chaska took a timeout with 3:25 left in the second quarter. The score was Chaska 14, Coon Rapids 0.

Chaska attempted a 45-yard field goal, but it was no good.

Coon Rapids started on its own 20-yard line. They once again tried to move the ball down the field.

Chaska called a timeout with 1:39 left in the second quarter. The score was Chaska 14, Coon Rapids 0.

Coon Rapids punted on 4th-and-41. Chaska took over on the Coon Rapids 23-yard line. The Coon Rapids defense stepped up and slowed the Chaska offense down.

Chaska called a timeout with 1:18 left in the second quarter. The score was Chaska 14, Coon Rapids 0.

Coon Rapids called a timeout with 1:09 left in the second quarter. The score was Chaska 14, Coon Rapids 0.

On 4th-and-22 Chaska attempted a 52-yard field goal and it was good.

With 1:09 left in the second quarter, the score was Chaska 17, Coon Rapids 0.

Coon Rapids took over on their own 22-yard line. That ran out the clock in the second quarter.

At halftime, the score was Chaska 17, Coon Rapids 0.

Chaska kicked off to start the third quarter. Coon Rapids moved the ball down the field again as they looked to move the chains. Coon Rapids moved the ball down the field on the ground to start the third quarter. Coon Rapids Avont Shannon came up with a first down reception.

David Geebli came up with a 5-yard touchdown run. The extra point attempt was not good.

With 8:51 left in the third quarter, the score was Chaska 17, Coon Rapids 6.

Chaska moved the ball down the field and look for first downs. Chaska moved the ball down the field again as they took time off the clock. Chaska kept moving the ball down the field as they were able to penetrate the Coon Rapids defense. Chaska’s Klotz came up with a six-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point was good.

With 2:29 left in the third quarter, the score was Chaska 24, Coon Rapids 6.

Coon Rapids was intercepted, and Chaska took over on the Coon Rapids 34-yard line. Chaska looked to move the ball down the field.

After three quarters of play, the score was Chaska 24, Coon Rapids 6.

Chaska attempted a 23-yard field goal and it was good.

With 9:50 left in the fourth quarter, the score was Chaska 27, Coon Rapids 6.

Coon Rapids called a timeout with 7:58 left in the fourth quarter. The score was Chaska 27, Coon Rapids 6.

Coon Rapids took over on downs. Chaska took over on their own 27-yard line. Chaska moved the ball down the field on the ground. Kuntz came up with a 3-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.

With 5:45 left in the fourth quarter, the score was Chaska 34, Coon Rapids 6.

Coon Rapids tried to move the ball down the field late in the game. Coon Rapids looked to get into the end zone late in the game. Coon Rapids Jake Van Hulzen came up with a 2-yard run for a touchdown. The two-point attempt was good.

With 2:59 left in the fourth quarter, the score was Chaska 34, Coon Rapids 14.

Both teams played well in the end however Chaska came away with the 34-14 victory over Coon Rapids.
