MOUNTAIN LAKE AREA WENT UP AGAINST WIN-E-MAC IN THE CLASS 9-MAN STATE SEMIFINALS

Mountain Lake Area went up against Win-E-Mac in the 9-Man semifinals of the football state tournament. 

Win-E-Mac kicked off to start the game. Mountain Lake kept the ball on the ground on their first drive of the game. Mountain Lake’s quarterback Abraham Stoesz came up with big plays as he led his team down the field. Stoesz came up with a 24-yard run that set up a Mace Herrig 3-yard run for a touchdown. The two-point conversion was no good. 

With 9:47 left in the first quarter, the score was Mountain Lake 6, Win-E-Mac 0. 

Win-E-Mac moved the ball down the field and kept it on the ground. Win-E-Mac wasn’t afraid to throw the ball down the field as well. Win-E-Mac looked to get into the end zone. 

Win-E-Mac called a timeout with 5:44 left in the first quarter. The score was Mountain Lake 6, Win-E-Mac 0. 

Win-E-Mac turned the ball over on downs. Mountain Lake’s Stoesz kept on coming up with big plays. The defense had a difficult time slowing him down. The Mountain Lake offense kept on grinding down the field. Mountain Lake kept the ball in Stoesz’s hands. Herrig came up with a 23 touchdown. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 2:00 left in the first quarter, the score was Mountain Lake 12, Win-E-Mac 0.

Win-E-Man kept on moving the ball down the field as they looked to get into the end zone late in the quarter. 

After one quarter of play, the score was Mountain Lake 12, Win-E-Mac 0. 

Win-E-Mac looked to get into the end zone. Win-E-Mac was intercepted in the end zone by Stoesz. 

Mountain Lake took over on their 5-yard line after an infraction on Mountain Lake. Mountain Lake punted on 4th-and-6. 

Win-E-Mac took over on the Mountain Lake 37-yard line. Win-E-Mac looked to the air as they tried to move the ball down the field. Win-E-Mac punted on 4th-and-27. 

Mountain Lake took over on the Win-E-Mac’s 37-yard line. Stoesz kept on coming up with big runs as he found holes in the defense. Stoesz came up with a 39-yard touchdown run. The two-point conversion was not good. 

With 5:26 left in the second quarter, the score was Mountain Lake 18, Win-E-Mac 0.

Win-E-Mac punted on 4th-down. 

Mountain Lake took over on their own 37-yard line. Mountain Lakes Jon Faber came up with a first down reception. Mountain Lake’s Braham Stoesz completed a throw to Adam Karschnik for a 21-yard touchdown reception. 

The extra point attempt was not good. With 1:24 left in the second quarter, the score was Mountain Lake 24, Win-E-Mac 0.  

Win-E-Mac tried to move the ball down the field late in the quarter. 

At halftime, the score was Mountain Lake 24, Win-E-Mac 0. 

Mountain Lake kicked off to start the third quarter. Win-E-Mac continued to move the ball down the field. On 4th down Win-E-Mac punted. 

Mountain Lake took over near mid-field and they looked to get into the end zone early in the quarter. Abraham Stoesz completed a 17-yard completion to Jon Faber for a touchdown. The extra point attempt by Kolby Kremmin was good. 

With 8:16 left to in the third quarter, the score was Mountain Lake 31, Win-E-Mac 0. 

Win-E-Mac moved the ball down the field once again as they kept in on the field. Win-E-Mac turned the ball over on downs. 

Mountain Lake took over on its own 39-yard line. Mountain Lake continued to move the ball down the field and tried to get into the end zone. Stoesz came up with a 9-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 3:47 left in the third quarter, the score was Mountain Lake 38, Win-E-Mac 0. 

Win-E-Mac took over on their own 20-yard line. Win-E-Mac was intercepted, and Mountain Lake took over on the 15-yard line. 

Mace Herrig came up with a 15-yard touchdown run. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 2:51 left in the third quarter, the score was Mountain Lake 45, Win-E-Mac 0. 

Win-E-Mac moved the ball down the field once again. Win-E-Mac’s Gavin Walker came up with big runs late in the quarter. 

After three quarters of play, the score was Mountain Lake 45, Win-E-Mac 0. 

Win-E-Mac looked to get into the end zone early. Win-E-Mac’s Nathan Fortmann came up with a 5-yard run for a touchdown. The two-point conversion was not good.

With 10:26 left in the fourth quarter, the score was Mountain Lake 45, Win-E-Mac 6.

Mountain Lake looked to move the ball down the field once again in the fourth quarter. 

Even though Win-E-Mac couldn’t move the ball down the field but they were not able to get into the end zone. 

Mountain Lake looked to get into the end zone late, but time ran out.

Mountain Lake came away with the 45-6 victory over Win-E-Mac.
