DASSEL-COKATO WENT UP AGAINST ANNANDALE IN THE CLASS 3A STATE SEMIFINAL GAME

Dassel-Cokato went up against Annandale in the class 3A state football semifinal game. 

Dassel-Cakato kicked off to start the game. Annandale looked to move the ball down the field. Annandale kept the ball on the ground early in the game. Annandale fumbled the ball and Dassel-Cokato came up with the ball. Dassel-Cokato moved the ball down the field. The Annandale defense stepped up and slowed down the Dassel-Cokato moved the ball down the field and came up with first downs as they kept the ball on the ground. Dassel-Cokato’s Eli Gillman came up with a 2-yard run for a touchdown run. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 2:56 left in the first quarter, the score was Dassel-Cokato 7, Annandale 0. 

Annandale took over on their own 20-yard line. Annandale punted the ball on 4th-and-3. The punt was blocked and Dassel-Cokato took over on the Annandale 15-yard line. Dassel-Cokato looked to get into the end zone. 

After one quarter the score was Dassel-Cokato 7, Annandale 0. 

Dassel-Cokato found the end zone on a 2-yard run by Eli Gillman. The extra point attempt was good. With 11:03 left in the second quarter, the score was Dassel-Cokato 14, Annandale 0. 

Annandale looked to move the ball down the field again by the running game but was not able to come up with the ball. Dassel-Cokato got the ball back. 

Dassel-Cokato attempted a 27-yard field goal which was good. 

With 11:00 left to go in the second quarter, the score was Dassel-Cokato 17, Annandale 0.

Annandale kept the ball on the ground as they looked to get into the end zone. 

Annandale took a timeout with 5:02 left in the second quarter. The score was Dassel-Cokato 17, Annandale 0. 

Annandale looked to get into the end zone late in the second quarter. Annandale’s Lucas Bachel came up with a 1-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 3:39 left in the second quarter, the score was Dassel-Cokato 17, Annandale 7. 

Dassel-Cokato took over on their own 20-yard line. Dassel-Cokato moved the ball down the field as they looked for first downs. On 4th-and-7 Dassel-Cokato punted the ball. 

Annandale took over on their own 39-yard line. Annandale kept the ball on the ground as they looked to come up with first downs. Annandale moved the ball down the field late in the quarter. Annandale’s Brady Spaulding came up with a first down reception. Annandale turned the ball over on downs. 

At halftime, the score was Dassel-Cokato 17, Annandale 7. 

Annandale kicked off to start the third quarter. Dassel-Cokato got the ball on the 28-yard line. Dassel-Cokato couldn’t move the ball down the field, and they punted the ball on 4th-and-11. 

Annandale moved the ball down the field as they looked to make a first down. Annandale looked to get into the end zone late in the third quarter. Annandale’s Rogan Kuser came up with a 4-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt by Lauren Meidinger was good. 

With 3:06 left in the third quarter, the score was Dassel-Cokato 17, Annandale 14.

Dassel-Cokato took over on their own 27-yard line. Dassel-Cokato couldn’t move the ball down the field, and they punted the ball. 

Annandale took over on their own 12-yard line. Annandale continued to move the ball down the field late in the quarter. 

After three quarters the score was Dassel-Cokato 17, Annandale 14. 

Annandale called a timeout with 11:00 left in the fourth quarter the score was Dassel-Cokato 17, Annandale 14.

Annandale couldn’t move the ball down the field, and they punted on 4th-and-16. 

Dassel-Cokato took over on their own 2-yard line. Dassel-Cokato couldn’t move the ball down the field and on 4th-and-4 Dassel-Cokato punted the ball. 

Annandale looked to move the ball down the field. Annandale fumbled the ball and Dassel-Cokato recovered the ball on their one-yard line. Dassel-Cokato’s Eli Gilman came up with an 87-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 1:28 left in the fourth quarter, the score was Dassel-Cokato 24, Annandale 14.

Annandale couldn’t move the ball down the field and on 4th-and-10 Anndale went for it and they turned the ball over on downs. 

Dassel-Cokato took over on the 50-yard line.

Dassel-Cokato came away with the 24-14 victory over Annandale.
