CLASS A GIRLS’ STATE SEMI FINAL GAME ORONO VS LA CRESCENT

In the first semi final girls’ state soccer game it was Orono against La Crescent. Both teams started out the game playing very aggressively.

La Crescent’s Jenna McDonough scored a goal with 33 minutes left in the first half.

After that goal the score was La Crescent 1 and Orono 0.

Both teams really went after each other in the first half. Neither team let down their guard. Both teams did a good job of getting the ball down the field.

With 22:23 remaining in the first half Orono’s Amie Tunheim scored a goal. Kerrie Dingmann got an assist.
After that goal the score was tied at 1 a piece.

At the start of the second half each team played very aggressively. Neither team was able to score during the second half. At the end of regulation the score was tied at 1. The game went into overtime.

Karrie Dingmann scored a goal and Amy Larson got the assist for Orono in overtime to give Orono the 2-1 victory.

I was able to talk to Orono’s head coach Erin Murray and Kerrie Dingman about the game.
