EAGAN AND WOODBURY SQUARE OFF IN CLASS AA SEMI FINAL GAME

In the girls’ Class AA semi final soccer game Eagan and Woodbury squared off. The scoring got underway early. With 33:34 remaining in the first half Woodbury’s Caitlin Graboski scored the first goal of the game for Woodbury.

Both teams went after each other in the first half. They both played very hard.

At half time the score was Woodbury 1 and Eagan 0.

Both teams came out hungry in the second half as each of them wanted to score. Woodbury’s Alyssa Duval scored a goal with 30:54 remaining in the second half. Emily Erickson had an assist. With that goal the score became Woodbury 2 and Eagan 0.

With 24:30 left in regulation Woodbury’s Mary Kroening scored a goal and Kassey Kallman got the assist.
After that goal the score was Woodbury 3 and Eagan 0.

Woodbury was able to come away with the victory and earned third place in the girls’ state class AA title. I was able to talk to Woodbury’s head coach Bill Ebertz and players Alyssa DuVal and Caitlin Graboski.
