EDEN PRAIRIE TOOK ON BLOOMINGTON JEFFERSON IN BOYS’ BASKETBALL FALL LEAGUE ACTION


High school teams took to the courts at Blooming Jefferson as the Twin Cities Fall League continued.


Jefferson took on Eden Prairie in the first game. Eden Prairie stated the game out in a zone defense.


Jefferson started the game off hot as they were able to make shots that they were putting up. Eden Prairie had a hard time making shots that they put up.


Eden Prairie used mostly a man-to-man defense in the first half. Jefferson also used a man-to-man defense in the first half.


Eden Prairie started the game slowly was able to pick up the pace midway through the first half. They had more confidence in their shots.


The score went back and forth late in the first half.


At halftime the score was Bloomington Jefferson 24 and Eden Prairie 22.


As the second half got underway both teams came out and played aggressively. Eden Prairie came out on fire as they went on a run to open the second half. With 18:11 left Eden Prairie had a 32-26 lead.


Eden Prairie was able to knock down some deep three point shots midway through the second half. That helped them extend their lead over Jefferson.


Jefferson did try to make a comeback late in the game. Eden Prairie didn’t bend to their pressure. They kept battling throughout the game.


Despite a late run by Jefferson Eden Prairie was able to come away with the 62-54 victory over Bloomington Jefferson.


Apple Valley freshman guard Tyus Jones was attending the league as a fan. Jones who is from Apple Valley is considered one of the best players in Minnesota according to multiple recruiting services.
