PRIOR LAKE TOOK ON MINNESOTA TRANSITIONS IN THE MINNETONKA BOYS’ BASKETBALL FALL LEAGE


Prior Lake took on Minnesota Transitions in the Minnetonka fall basketball league. Minnesota Transitions started the game on a 9-0 run to begin the game. Prior Lake could not find the basket to begin the game. They just couldn’t get into a scoring rhythm.


Rodney Owens for Minnesota Transitions was able to keep his team in the game by making shots. On the defensive end he stepped up his game as was able to slow down his defender.


Prior Lake started the game out playing a zone defense. They wanted to spread Minnesota Transitions out.


Minnesota Transitions also used a zone defense in the first half. Prior Lake didn’t get frustrated when their shots were not falling. They kept playing hard and wanted to get after Minnesota Transitions on the defensive end.


For Minnesota Transitions everyone played well in the first half. They shared the ball well and they got everyone involved in the offense.


At halftime the score was Minnesota Transitions 34 and Prior Lake 24.


As the second half got underway both teams came out and played zone defense. Prior Lake continued to look to push the ball up the court in transition.


Minnesota Transitions also did a good job of getting the ball out and pushing it in transition. They were able to score easy baskets in transition.


Both teams got tired in the second half. The play got sloppy at times. You could tell the plays were still trying to play hard but there were times that both teams walked the ball up the court to catch their breaths.


Minnesota Transitions was too quick for Prior Lake. Prior Lake did not give up. They kept fighting until the end.


Minnesota Transitions came away with the 67-48 victory over Prior Lake.
