HOLY FAMILY TOOK ON RICHFIELD IN A BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAME

Holy Family Catholic High School took on Richfield High School in a boys' varsity basketball game. Holy Family came into the game with a record of 0-1. Richfield also came into the game with a record of 0-1.

Both teams came out playing aggressively. They both dove on the floor after loose balls and went after rebounds.

Richfield point guard Shawn Ray Bear handled the ball well. He knew where his teammates were on the court and passed them the ball when they were open.

Holy Family took their time on the offensive end. They passed the ball around the three-point line and waited until they found the shot that they wanted and then took it.

Wibisono Marjonio MacDonald got into the game and was able to stay with his defender and slow him down.

Richfield played mostly man-to-man defense. Holy Family switched between man-to-man and zone defense. They wanted to keep Richfield guessing on what kind of defense they were playing.

Holy Family looked to score baskets in transition. They were able to do get some easy baskets.

Holy Family took a timeout with 6:36 left in the first half. The score was Richfield 21 and Holy Family 11.

Richfield's Jamal Wilburn took the ball strong to the basket. He was able to get some open looks to at the basket.

Richfield switch between man-to-man and zone defense late in the first half.

At halftime the score was Richfield 35 and Holy Family 20.

Richfield started the second half playing man-to-man defense.

Richfield head coach Omar McMillan didn't like what he saw on the floor so Richfield called a timeout with 16:52 left in regulation. The score was Richfield 39 and Holy Family 22.

Holy Family continued to have trouble shooting the ball. They didn't give up and kept on shooting even though they were not getting their shots to fall.

Bear kept on driving to the lane and he was able to make his free throws when he got to the line.

MacDonald kept on shooting three-point shots. He was able to get a few of them to fall.

Richfield held the ball as they looked to stall with about 7:00 left.

Richfield called a timeout with 5:06 left in regulation. The score was Richfield 64 and Holy Family 47.

Richfield was able to ware down Holy Family. Richfield was a little quicker than Holy Family. I thought that both teams played hard throughout the game. Richfield came away with the 73-59 victory over Holy Family.

Richfield was led in scoring by Shawn Ray Bear with 23 points, Erik Jimson with 14 points, Deshawn
Jones, Wibisono Marjonio MacDonald with 9 points each, and Jared Noonan with 8 points.

Holy Family was lead in scoring by Jake Dryer with 21 points, Joe Traxler with 16 points, and Joe Hannel with 9 points.
