TOTINO-GRACE TOOK ON HILL-MURRAY IN A GIRLS' BASKETBALL GAME

Totino-Grace traveled to Hill-Murray High School for a girls' basketball game. It was the first game for both of these teams.

Totino-Grace started the game out in a zone defense. Hill-Murray started the game out in a man-to-man defense.

Hill-Murray looked to get the ball into the hands of Tessa Cichy. She was able to get the ball down the court quickly. She was quick enough to blow by her defenders.

It took both the teams awhile to get into the swing of their offense. Neither team shot the ball well in the opening five minutes of the game.

Hill-Murray took their time on the offensive end. They worked the ball around the three-point line and were able to get all of their teammates involved in the play.

It took Totino-Grace awhile to get into the offensive flow of the game. Even though they were not able to hit shots early in the first half they did not get down on themselves. They kept on shooting the ball.

Totino-Grace took a timeout with 11:03 left in the first half. The score was Hill-Murray 13 and Totino-Grace 10.

Totino-Grace went on a run after the timeout.

Totino-Grace looked to push the ball down the court as quickly as they could. Hill-Murray did a good job of keeping up with the tempo of the game.

Hill-Murray took a timeout with 8:51 the score was Totino-Grace 16 and Hill-Murray 13.

Both teams did a good job of pushing the ball down the court as they both looked to get baskets in transition.

Hill-Murray looked to shoot three-point shots. They took their time from shooting the outside shot but if they felt that they could make the shots they would shoot them.

Tessa Cichy did a good job of finding the open player. If she was not open she would pass the ball to one of her teammates so they could get a better shot.

Both teams were very physical. Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls. And they went after rebounds on both ends of the floor.

Totino-Grace called a 30 second timeout with 3:56 left to go in the first half. The score was Hill-Murray 23 and Totino-Grace 19.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. At halftime the score was tied at 27.

Hill-Murray came out in a man-to-man defense. They applied a lot of pressure. Hill-Murray wanted to get Totino-Grace out of their comfort zone early in the half.
Hill-Murray continued to push the ball down the court and looked to score baskets in transition.

Gabby Zehrer for Totino-Grace launched some deep three-point shots that didn't go in. She didn't get down on herself as she kept on shooting the ball.

The second half was also very competitive.

Hill-Murray found their shooting rhythm with about 12:00 left in regulation.

Hill-Murray called a 30 second timeout with 11:38 left in regulation. The score was Hill-Murray38 and Totino-Grace 33.

Hill-Murray continued to make their shots.

Totino-Grace called a 30 second timeout with 10:14 left in regulation. The score was Hill-Murray 44 and Totino-Grace 36.

Hill-Murray continued their run. Totino-Grace didn't give up. They kept on fighting hard and diving on the floor for loose balls.

Hill-Murray got hot and they were able to go on a run midway through the half.

Totino-Grace called a timeout with 6:45 left in regulation with the score Hill-Murray 55 and Totino-Grace 40

Both teams played well throughout the game.

Hill-Murray called a timeout with 3:31 left in the game. The score was Hill-Murray 59 and Totino-Grace 47.

Hill-Murray called a 30 second timeout with 2:31 left in the game.

I thought that both teams played well and hard throughout the game. Totino-Grace never got down on themselves and they played hard throughout the game. They made a run late in the contest by that was not enough.

Totino Grace called a timeout with 1:06 left in regulation. They were able to get within eight at 65-56.

Totino-Grace fouled the last minute of the game. They looked to get the rebound and score easy baskets.

In the end Hill-Murray came away with the 72-60 victory over Totino-Grace. The leading scores for Totino-Grace were Gabby Zehrer with 21 and Therese Hinnenkamp with 11 points, and Marissa Stelzer with 10 points. The leading scorers for Hill-Murray were Tessa Cichy with 26 and Claire Van Dyk with 20.
