ST. OLAF TOOK ON HAMLINE IN A MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME

The St. Olaf Oles traveled to Hamline University for a men's basketball game. St. Olaf came into the game with a record of 3-4 and Hamline came into the game with a record of 1-4.

Both teams looked to set the tempo early on in the contest. Hamline started in a zone defense. They looked to spread St. Olaf out on offense.

St. Olaf's Connor Gunderson went down hard and was able to walk off the court on his own power. St. Olaf's Alfred Jaryan was all over the court. He was able to drive through traffic and knock down some shots.

Hamline's Mike Campbell got his shot going as he was able to score some easy baskets.

Campbell did a good job of getting his teammates involved in the offense.

St. Olaf called a timeout with 13:11 left in the first half. The score was Hamline 16 and St. Olaf 11.

St. Olaf did a good job of moving the ball around the three-point line on the offensive end.

Both teams played an up tempo style of play throughout the first half.

The Hamline guards did a good job of driving to the lane. That is how they did most of their scoring.

Hamline switched between zone and man-to-man defense late in the first half. Dior Ford took the ball hard to the basket. He was able to get fouled and we made both of his free-throws.

St. Olaf called a timeout with 6:39 left in the first half. The score was Hamline 27 and St. Olaf 17.

Hamline did a good job of trying to get the ball into Dior Ford. Ford was camped out on the low block. Ford did a good job of powering the ball up to the basket and was able to make some shots.

St. Olaf looked to score baskets in transition. They were able to do that.

Hamline called a timeout with 13.4 seconds left in the first half.

At halftime the score was Hamline 37 and St. Olaf 27.

St. Olaf started the second half in a zone defense. Hamline also started the second half in a zone defense.

Hamline called a 30 second timeout with 18:02 left in regulation. The score was Hamline 41 and St. Olaf 33.

Hamline was able to shoot holes in the St. Olaf defense.

St. Olaf called a timeout with 15:59 left in regulation the score was Hamline 59 and St. Olaf 35.

Ford took some easy shots on the low block .

St. Olaf called a timeout with 14:53 left in regulation.

Hamline did a good job of scoring baskets in transition. St. Olaf as not able to get into their shooting rhythm. They didn't get discouraged by that as they continued to look for shots they thought they could take.

St. Olaf called a timeout with 8:28 left in regulation the score was Hamline 68 and St. Olaf 47.

Noha Aguirre for Hamline knocked down a deep three-point shots. Campbell kept shooting the ball well and was all over the court. On the defensive end he was able to slow down his man.

Hamline was too quick for St. Olaf. I thought that Mike Campbell played well. He was all over the court and was able to score at will. I also thought that Dior Ford played well and he was also able to score baskets at will.

For St. Olaf I thought Alfred Jaryan played well. He was all over the floor.

Hamline came away with the 81-64 victory over St. Olaf.

The leading scorers for Hamline were Mike Campbell with 26 points, Dior Ford with 19 points and Noah Aguirre with 13 points. They shot 32-67 from the field that included going 4-15 from behind the three-point line. They were 13-16 from the free throw line. They grabbed a total of 32 rebounds, 23 of them on the defensive end.

The leading scorers for St.Olaf were Bobby Fong with 13 points, Sterling Nielson with 12 points and Stu Neville with 11 points. St. Olaf shot 25-55 from the field that included going 3-14 from behind the three-point line. They were 11-19 from the free throw line. They grabbed a total of 29 rebounds, 22 of them were on the defensive end.
