APPLE VALLEY TOOK ON OSSEO IN A MINNETONKA FALL LEAGUE BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Apple Valley and Osseo went up against each other in the Minnetonka boys’ basketball league. There was a lot of fans watching the game that made for a great atmosphere.

The score went back and forth for good period of time. Osseo’s Wheeler Baker was all over the floor for his team. He did a good job of bringing the ball down the court and getting everyone involved in the offense.

Apple Valley guard Tyus Jones got his team into an offensive rhythm. He did a good job of communicating on the floor to his teammates. He made sure that they knew where they were supposed to be on the court at all time.

Osseo used both man-to-man and zone defense as they looked to slow down the Apple Valley offense. They were not able to do that however as Osseo was able to get some good looks at the basket.

Neither team went on a run in the first half.

Osseo guard Allen Anderson was all over the floor. He was able to get past the Apple Valley guards.

Anderson and Tyus Jones faced each other a few times.

Tyus’ brother Trey Jones was all over the floor. He was quick as he was able to get to the basket and make layups untouched.

At halftime the score was Apple Valley 37, Osseo 26.

As the second half got underway both teams continued to make shots.

Tyus was smart with the ball. He came up with some nice assists as he always knew where his teammates were on the floor.

Apple Valley shut down the Osseo offense in the second half. Osseo had difficulty scoring for a good portion of the second half.

Tyus Jones looked very good with the ball. He moved the ball around the floor and was not afraid to pass the ball to his teammates if he thought that they had a better shot than he did.

In a game that was hard fought by both teams Apple Valley came away with the 72-51 victory over Osseo.
