ROSEMOUNT TOOK ON ROSEVILLE IN THE STATE FOOTBALL SEMIFINALS

Rosemount and Roseville went up against each other in the state semifinals of the 2013 Minnesota State High School state football tournament. 
 
Rosemount kicked off to Roseville to start the game. Sebastian Yang got the ball in his hands and was able to blow by defenders.
 
Andrew Colvard caught a 12-yard pass for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good. With 9:18 left in the first quarter the score was Roseville 7, Rosemount 0.
 
On the next drive Rosemount’s Jackson Erdmann completed a pass to Tyler Hartigan for a 25-yard touchdown reception. The extra point attempt was good.
 
With 7:42 left in the first quarter the score was tied at 7.
 
Roseville continued to move the ball down the field with ease. Roseville found the endzone on a two-yard run by Jacques Perra.
 
The extra point was good.
 
With 2:23 left in the first quarter the score was Roseville 14, Rosemount 7.
 
Rosemount looked to get into the endzone late in the first quarter. They did just that on a Dimitri Williams 44-yard touchdown scamper. The extra point attempt was no good.
 
After one quarter of play the score was Roseville 14, Rosemount 13.
 
Rosemount’s Trent Willcock rushed 51 yards for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.
 
With 10:52 left in the second quarter the score was Rosemount 20, Roseville 14.
 
Roseville continued to try to move the ball down the field. The Rosemount defense stepped up bit as they were able to hold on and make Roseville had to punt the ball on fourth-and-seven.
 
Williams ran 77 yards on a punt return for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.
 
With 3:17 left in the second quarter the score was Rosemount 27, Roseville 14.
 
Roseville looked to get the ball into the endzone and they did just that as Perra completed a pass to
Andrew Colvard for a six-yard touchdown reception.
 
At halftime the score was Rosemount 27, Roseville 21. 
 
Roseville got the ball to start the third quarter. They were not able to move the ball down the field.
 
Rosemount took over on downs.  Rosemount found the endzone on a one-yard touchdown by Erdmann. The two-point conversion was good.
 
With 5:39 left in the third quarter the score was Rosemount 35, Roseville 21.
 
Roseville looked to get back into the endzone late in the third quarter. Roseville found the endzone on a 30-yard pass from Perra to Tommy Arcand.
 
The extra point attempt was good.
 
With 3:46 left in the third quarter the score was Rosemount 35, Roseville 28.
 
That was the score after three quarters of play.
 
Both teams chewed up a lot of time off the clock in the fourth quarter.
 
Rosemount came away with the 35-28 victory over Roseville.
 
After the game I was able to talk to Williams about the game.
