MINNESOTA WEST TOOK ON ANOKA RAMSEY IN A WOMENS BASKETBALL GAME

Minnesota West and Anoka Ramsey went up against each other in a womens basketball game. The score went back and forth early in the game.
 
Minnesota West went cold in the first half as they couldn’t hit a basket for a period of time.
 
Minnesota West called timeout with 10:37 left in the first half. The score was Anoka Ramsey 13, Minnesota 4.  
 
Anoka Ramsey continued to take time off the clock late in the first half.
 
Minnesota West struggled to shoot the ball throughout the first half. As a team they were not able to hit their mid-range jump shots or layups in the first half.
 
Minnesota West stepped up late in the first half and knocked down some big shots.
 
Minnesota West went on a 9-2 run in the last two minutes of the first half.
 
At halftime the score was Anoka Ramsey 25, Minnesota West 16.
 
As the second half got underway Anoka Ramsey looked to get the ball into the hands of Mataya Racek. She was able to hit her mid-range jump shots in the second half.
 
Both teams looked to score on fast breaks in the second half.  
 
Minnesota West came up with rebounds and took them to the basket. Minnesota West’s Kristen Andersen came up with layups in the second half.
 
Minnesota West called a timeout with 6:53 left in regulation. The score was Anoka Ramsey 50, Minnesota West 41.
 
Anoka Ramsey continued to attack the basket late in the contest. They didn’t let Minnesota West come up with any easy looks at the basket.
 
Anoka Ramsey came away with the 65-55 victory over Minnesota West.
 
The leading scorers for Minnesota West were Gehl and Andersen each with 16 points.
 
The leading scorers for Anoka Ramsey were Racek with 19 points and Antilla with 17 points.
