BROOKLYN CENTER WENT UP AGAINST GRAND RAPIDS IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Brooklyn Center and Grand Rapids squared off in a boys’ basketball game. The score went back and forth early.

Brooklyn Center pushed the ball down the floor as they looked to score baskets in transition.
Neither team gave up open shots.
At halftime, the score was Brooklyn Center 30, Grand Rapids 20.
As the second half got underway Brooklyn Center went to a full court press. They wanted to make Grand Rapids turn the ball over.
Brooklyn Center did a good job of talking on the floor to each other. They knew where everyone was on the floor.
Grand Rapids looked to get the ball into the hands of Jake Skelly. Skelly came up with mid-range jump shots and layups throughout the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
There were multiple ties and lead changes throughout the second half. Neither team gave up easy shots.
Grand Rapids Brock Schrom came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he made shots.
There were multiple ties and lead changes late in the game.
Grand Rapids came away with the 69-64 victory over Brooklyn Center.
The leading scorer for Grand Rapids was Skelly with 28 points.
The leading scorers for Brooklyn Center were Lu’Cye Patterson and Rudwan Tahir each with 13 points.
