IN THE CLASS AAAAA STATE FOOTBALL SEMI FINAL GAME ROSEMOUNT TOOK ON BRAINERD

Rosemount kicked off to Brainerd to start the class AAAAA boys’ high school state semi-final game.


Brainerd had to punt the ball to Rosemount on their first drive of the game.

Rosemount went to the air in the first quarter. They wanted to get to Brainerd from the start of the game. Rosemount used all of its players in their offensive scheme. They got everyone involved from the beginning of the play. Nicholas Liska found the end zone on a two yard touchdown run with 3:09 left to go in the first quarter. The extra point attempt was good.

With 3:09 left to go in the first quarter the score was Rosemount 7 and Brainerd 0.


Rosemount kicked off to Brainerd after the touchdown. Brainerd looked to air it out late in the first quarter.

Rosemount went deep late in the quarter. There was a holding call that scratched out a nice drive. On the next drive they were intercepted by Jake Kassulker.

At the end of the first quarter the score was Rosemount 7 Brainerd 0.

Brainerd got the ball to start the second quarter. They looked to the air as they wanted to go deep and find receivers near the end zone.

Rosemount’s Kevin Larson came up with a nice running play that brought him to the 11 yard line. Nicholas Liska came up with a two yard touchdown run with 6:00 left to go in the second quarter. The extra point attempt was good.

With 6:00 left to go in the second quarter the score was Rosemount 14 and Brainerd 0.

Rosemount kicked off to Brainerd after the touchdown. Brainerd was not able to do anything when they were on offense.

Goaner Deng caught a 47 yard pass to get Rosemount to the 9-yard line. Nicholas Liska scored on a 1-yard run With 53 seconds left to go in the second quarter the score was Rosemount 21 and Brainerd 0.

At halftime the score was Rosemount 21 and Brainerd 0.

As the second half got underway Brainerd kicked off to Rosemount. Rosemount continued to pound the ball down the field. They looked deep into the end zone. Rosemount found the end zone midway through the third quarter. Kevin Larson scored a touchdown on a 2-yard run. The extra point attempt was good.


With 4:50 left to go in the third quarter the score was Rosemount 28 and Brainerd 0.

Brainerd got the ball back after the Rosemount touchdown. Brainerd looked to pound the ball down the field. They had been unsuccessful at getting first downs in the first half. They were able to put together a little drive late in the quarter.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Rosemount 28 and Brainerd 0.

Rosemount threatened to score at the beginning of the fourth quarter. They were not able to do that.

With 3:30 Brainerd’s Taylor Babineau recovered a fumble on the 0 yd line.


With 01:07 Brainerd’s Daniel Lauer had a 2 yd run for a touchdown. Zachary Cadwell kick was good.

Rosemount came away with the 28-14 victory over Brainerd.
