OSSEO TOOK ON CRETIN-DERHAM HALL IN THE BOYS’ BASKETBALL MINNETONKA FALL LEAGUE


Cretin-Derham Hall took on Osseo in the Minnetonka boys’ basketball fall league. Both teams came out shooting the ball.


Jerrod David Berven came into the game and his shot was on fire. He was able to make all the shots that he put up.


Osseo looked to push the ball in transition. They did a good job of making their shots in transition.


Neither team was able to go on a run at the beginning of the game. Both teams wanted to get into the tempo of the game.


Osseo went to a zone defense midway through the first half. Cretin-Derham Hall had to pass the ball around on the offensive end. Cretin-Derham Hall had to be patience on the defensive end.


Osseo’s Darren James Hurbert was all over the place on the defensive end. He dove on the floor for loose balls. He was able to guard his opponent well.


Osseo went to a zone defense midway through the first half.


Neither team was able to go on a run in the first half. They both played with a lot of defensive pressure. That was the key as neither team was able to go on a run.


At halftime the score was Osseo 25 and Cretin-Derham Hall 27.


As the second half got underway Osseo came out on fire. They worked for their shots.


Neither team went on a run at the beginning of the second half. Osseo went to a zone defense as they wanted to try to force Cretin-Derham Hall into making bad shots.


Jerrod David Berven was able to pass the ball to his teammates to get assets. He was not afraid to take the ball hard to the basket if he was open.


The contest was close in the second half. Cretin-Derham Hall was able to get to the Osseo players and force them to take bad shots.


Neither team was able to go on a run in the second half. I thought that both of these teams were evenly matched.


Osseo was able to go on a run late in the contest. They were able to cut the deficit to 46-44 with 1:30 left to go.


Both teams were competitive throughout the game. Cretin-Derham Hall came away 55-48 victory over Osseo.
