LANESBORO TOOK ON GOODRIDGE/GRYGLA-GATZKE IN THE 2010 MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE STATE 9-MAN FOOTBALL SEMIFINAL GAME


The road to the Minnesota State high school football championships was underway. In the 9-man Minnesota State High School League state semifinal football game Lanesboro took on Goodridge/Grygla-Gatzka (Goodridge) at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.


Goodridge kicked off to Lanesboro. Lanesboro got the ball on the 32-yard line. They looked to keep the ball on the ground. Lanesboro was not able to get a first down and they punted the ball to Goodridge.


Goodridge’s Dillon Olson ran with the ball. They kept the ball on the ground. Lanseboro stepped up their defensive pressure. Goodridge couldn’t convert on third down and they punted the ball back to Lanesboro.

Lanesboro received the punt and on the first play they fumbled the ball and Goodridge came up with the ball and recovered the ball.

Goodridge threatened to score midway through the first quarter. Lanseboro stepped up and stopped Goodridge on the 2-yard line and got the ball back on downs.

 
Lanesboro got the ball back on the 2-yard line. Niko Anderson the running back used his speed past his defenders. Lanesboro was able to get a first down. They kept pounding the ball up the middle of the field. Justin Gudmunson came up with a nice reception for a first down. A Lanesboro pass was intercepted by Goodrich’s Daniel Polansky.


After Daniel Polansky’s interception Goodrich kept looking to get first downs.


At the end of the first quarter the score was tied at 0.


Goodrich got the ball to begin the second quarter. Dillon Olson carried the ball and was able to come up with some huge yardage. With 9:11 left to go in the first quarter Dillon Olson came up with a touchdown run. The two-point conversion attempt was no good.


With 9:11 left to go in the second quarter the score was Goodridge 6 and Lanesboro 0.


Lanesboro got the ball after the touchdown. Lucas Johnson found the end zone on a 63 yard touchdown reception. The extra point attempt was no good.


With 6:38 remaining in the second quarter the score was tied at 6.

Goodridge got the ball back after the Lanesboro touchdown. Justin Stanley came up with a big reception for Goodridge. Dillon Olson had a six-yard run to bring the ball to the one-yard line. Daniel Polansky came up with a 1-yard touchdown run. He also came up with the 2 point conversion.

With 3:28 left in the second quarter the score was Goodridge 14 and Lanesboro 6.



Lanesboro got the ball back after the Goodridge touchdown. Jake Reed had a 23 yard touchdown carry for Lanesboro with 2:19 left in the second quarter. The two point conversion was no good.

With 2:19 left to go in the second quarter the score was Goodridge 14 and Lanesboro 12.


Goodridge got the ball back after the Lanesboro touchdown. Goodridge was not able to convert on third down and they had to punt the ball back to Lanesboro.


Lanesboro’s Jake Reed had a 15-yard touchdown run with 2.2 seconds left to go in the first quarter to score a touchdown. The two point conversion was good.


With 2.2 left to go in the second quarter the score was Lanesboro 20 and Goodridge 14.

At halftime the score was Lanesboro 20 and Goodridge 14.


Lanesboro kicked off to Goodridge to start the third quarter. Goodridge wanted to pound the ball on the ground. Lanesboro’s defense stepped up and stopped them in their tracks. Goodridge had to punt the ball to Lanesboro.

Lanesboro’s Lucus Johnson went on a scamper towards the end zone midway though the third quarter. Lanesboro was able to score a touchdown on a 7 yard run by Niko Anderson. The two point conversion was not good.

With 6:54 left to go in the third quarter the score was Lanesboro 26 and Goodridge 14.


Goodridge got the ball back after the Lanesboro touchdown. Goodridge Dillon Olson broke free and was able to get a 21 yard run that brought him to the 15-yard line. They threatened to score late in the quarter. Preston Swenson caught an 11 yard pass for a touchdown with 3:32 left to go in the third quarter. The extra point attempt was no good.

With 3:32 left to go in the third quarter the score was Lanesboro 26 and Goodridge 20.

Lanesboro got the ball after the Goodridge touchdown. Lanesboro fumbled the ball and Goodridge came up with the ball. Goodridge took over after the fumble.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Lanesboro 26 and Goodridge 20.

Goodridge got the ball to start the fourth quarter. Justin Stanley came up with a big reception that set up a one yard touchdown run by Daniel Polansky. The two point conversion was no good.

With 8:23 left to go in the fourth quarter the score was tied at 26.

Lanesboro got the ball back after the Goodridge touchdown. Lanesboro threatened to score later in the quarter. Lucus Johnson came up with an 8 yard touchdown run with 6:36 left to go in the fourth quarter. The two point conversion was good.

Lucas Johnson came up with the two point conversion.

With 6:36 left to go in the fourth quarter the score was Lanesboro 34 and Goodridge 26.

Lanesboro kicked off to Goodridge after the touchdown.

Goodridge was not able to convert on downs and they turned the ball over to Lanesboro. Lanesboro was not able to convert and they had to punt the ball back to Goodridge.

Lanesboro came away with the 34-26 victory over Goodridge.
