MAPLE GROVE TOOK ON OSSEO IN THE BOYS' STATE HIGH SCHOOL TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL GAME AT THE TARGET CENTER

Osseo took on Maple Grove in the quarterfinal game of the Minnesota State High School League Boys'
State Tournament.

As the game got underway Osseo looked to set the pace early in the contest. Terez Wayne VanPelt took
the ball hard to the basket.

Both teams took their time on the offensive end. They didn't want to rush shots.

Joey Curtis Sonnenfeld for Osseo took the ball hard to the basket. He was able to blow past his
defenders.

Maple Grove's James Morris took the ball strong to the basket. He was able to get his teammates
involved in the game offense.

Osseo kept attacking the basket. Maple Grove did a good job of trying to get to the basket in the crowd
of Osseo defenders.

Osseo continued to shoot well late in the first half.

At halftime the score was Osseo 38 and Maple Grove 32.

As the second half got underway Sonnenfeld continued to shoot the ball well. He was very determined
on the offensive end.

Osseo continued to make shots.

James Morris for Maple Grove found his shot as he was able to connect on a few deep three-point
shots.

Bridge Trusler for Osseo went to the basket hard. He came up with some clutch plays throughout the
game.

Darren James Herbert knew where his teammates were on the floor. He had good court awareness.

Herbert set his teammates up and was able to get them the ball in spots where they could make good
shots. When he had a good shot though, Herbert was not afraid to shoot the ball.

Osseo was able to come away with the 72-67 victory over Maple Grove.

The leading scorers for Maple Grove were Brycen Wojta with 17 points and Sykler Ellingson with 15
points.

The leading scorers for Osseo were Terez Wayne VanPelt with 28 points, and Joey Sonnenfeld with 20 points.
