Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa High School took on Southwest Minnesota Christian in the class A Minnesota State High School League State Championship game.

As the game got underway both teams seem to be rushing their shots. Only 11 points were scored within the first 5 minutes.

At the first media timeout with 14:56 left in the first half the score was Southwest Minnesota Christian 8 and BE 3.

Southwest Minnesota got the ball into the hands of Klint Knutson. He was all over the floor. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he knew he could score.

Over the next five minute stretch, BBE found their range and stepped up their defensive pressure.
There was a media timeout with 10:45 left in the first half. The score was Southwest Minnesota Christian 16 and BBE 15.

Southwest Minnesota Christian went on a run after the media timeout. BBE held their ground. They didn't give up any easy shots and they made it hard for Southwest Minnesota Christian to hit theirs.

The score went back and forth late in the first half. There were several ties and lead changes in the first half.

The score went back and forth throughout the second half. Both teams played outstanding defense throughout the game.

The game came down to the wire. Neither team let off the pressure as they both went to man-to-man defense.

Both teams stepped up their defensive pressure in the game. Both teams played with a lot of emotion and energy throughout the game.

BBE's Brian Goodwin was all over the floor. He was able to get his jump shot going and was a leader on the floor throughout the game.

BBE came away with the 54-45 victory over SW Minnesota Christian to win the Class A state tournament final.
