LITCHFIELD TOOK ON PLAINVIEW-ELGIN-MILLVILLE IN THE CLASS AA BOYS' BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Litchfield came out of the gate quickly as they looked to set the tempo and get into their offense early.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. It took a while for each team to get used to what they were doing on the floor.

There was a media timeout with 6:43 left in the first half.

It was a defensive game in the first half. Neither team gave up easy shots.

There was a media timeout with 3:44 left in the first half. The score was tied at 18.

Both teams played hard throughout the first half. It was a defensive struggle as can be seen by the score. Offense was sparse.

At halftime the score was PEM 24 and Litchfield 20.

Litchfield shot 7-18 from the field including going 3-10 from behind the three-point line. PEM shot 10-25 from the field including going 0-4 from behind the three-point line.

Both teams traded baskets throughout the second half. Neither team gave up any easy baskets.

It was a defensive battle. Neither team went on a run.

There was a media timeout with 10:41 left in regulation the score was Litchfield 31 and PEM 30.

PEM went on a 7-1 run after the media timeout. The score was PEM 38 and Litchfield 31 with 8:46 left in regulation.

Both teams emptied there benches with 1:20 to go in the game with PEM in control.

PEM went on a tear late in the game. Litchfield was not able to hit their shots that they put up. PEM came away with the 55-39 victory over Litchfield.
