OMAHA CENTRAL WENT UP AGAINST APPLE VALLEY IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 10, Target Center was the site of the 2015 Minnesota Timberwolves Shootout.

Omaha Central and Apple Valley squared off in the first game. Apple Valley came out on fire as they were able to jump out to a quick 14-4 lead with 10:35 left in the first half.

Apple Valley’s Gary Trent Jr. came up with 3-point baskets. He was able to get past the defenders and got to the basket. 


Apple Valley was able to score baskets in transition. Apple Valley was quicker than Omaha Central throughout the first half. 

At halftime the score was Apple Valley 40, Omaha Central 16. 

As the second half got underway Omaha Central looked to get the ball into the hands of Agau Magay. Magay came up with huge mid-range jump shots and layups. 

Apple Valley’ was too much for Omaha Central. Omaha Central kept the ball into the hands of Magay. 

Apple Valley was able to really get their offense rolling throughout the game.

Apple Valley came away with the 79-50 victory over Omaha Central.

The leading scorer for Omaha Central was Agau with 15 points.

The leading scorers for Apple Valley were Trent with 26 points and Bertram with 18 points.
