CRETIN-DERHAM HALL WENT UP AGAINST MINNEHAHA ACADEMY IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

The gym was packed at Hopkins as Cretin-Derham Hall and Minnehaha Academy went up against each other in a boys’ basketball game.

Both teams took a while to get into an offensive shooting rhythm. Cretin-Derham Hall pushed the ball down the floor and scored baskets in transition.

The defense on both teams made it difficult to make open looks at shots.

Minnehaha called a timeout with 13:01 left in the first half. The score was Cretin-Derham Hall 11, Minnehaha Academy 6.

Minnehaha Academy looked to get the ball into the hands of Jalen Suggs. Suggs looked to make mid-range jump shots and layups. Suggs is an athletic player who knows where his teammates were on the offensive end of the floor.

Cretin Derham Hall called a timeout with 10:16 left in the first half. The score was Cretin-Derham Hall 14, Minnehaha Academy 8.

Both teams moved well without the ball. There was a lot of passing and cutting on both ends of the floor.

Suggs came up with shots in traffic. He was able to make shots in traffic.

Both teams took and made deep three-point shots.

Minnehaha took deep three-point shots late in the first half. They didn’t back down from the Cretin-Derham Hall pressure.

At halftime, the score was Cretin-Derham Hall 36, Minnehaha 27.

As the second half gets underway, both teams continue to get good looks at the basket.

After a slow start for Minnehaha, they came out and stepped up and knocked down shots. They took their time on the offensive end.

Cretin-Derham Hall’s J’Vonne Hedley came up with huge deep 3-point shots.

Minnehaha called a timeout with 15:11 left in regulation the score was Cretin-Derham Hall 45, Minnehaha 33.

Cretin-Derham Hall took a lot of time off the clock as they passed the ball around the 3-point line and took time off the clock.

Minnehaha called a timeout with 9:30 left in regulation the score was Cretin-Derham Hall 54, Minnehaha 38.

Minnehaha continued to attack the basket late in the game.

Cretin Derham Hall played keep away from Minnehaha late in the game.

Minnehaha kept fighting back late in the game.

Minnehaha called a timeout with 1:01 left in regulation. The score was Cretin-Derham Hall 73, Minnehaha 64.

Both teams played hard throughout the game. In a hard-fought game, Cretin-Derham Hall came away with the 75-66 victory over Minnehaha.
