PATRICK HENRY WENT UP AGAINST NORTH IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL RIVALRY GAME

On Dec. 14, Minneapolis Patrick Henry and Minneapolis North squared off in a hotly contested boys’ basketball game. Going into the game Henry had an overall record of 2-1 while North had an overall record of 1-2.

North won the toss and looked to control the tempo from the start. North’s Quientrail Jamison-Travis came up with layups early. He called for the ball on the low block and was able to come up with shots.

Both teams looked to race down the floor and score baskets in transition.

North called a timeout with 16:05 left in the first half. The score was North 5, Henry 2.

Both teams drove the ball down the floor and looked for layups.

Henry called a timeout with 15:15 left in the first half the score was North 10, Henry 2.

Henry wasn’t afraid to shoot the ball. Henry looked to get the ball into the hands of Yusuf Abdullah. Abdullah took the ball hard to the basket and looked for jump shots.

Henry looked to apply a full-court press as they looked to get North out of a defensive rhythm.

North’s Davon Townley came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. Teammate CJ Brown also was able to drain deep 3-point shots.

North did a good job of bringing the ball down the floor and was able to get everyone involved in the offense.

Henry wasn’t afraid to shoot the deep 3-point shot.

Henry called a timeout with 9:38 left in the first half. The score was North 24, Henry 13.

There was an altercation between fans and the game was paused.

North called a timeout with 8:41 in the first half. The score was North 26, Henry 17.

Henry continued to push the ball down the floor and looked to keep the tempo of the game in their favor.

Henry continued to push the ball down the floor and looked for their shots. Henry struggled shooting the ball late in the first half. Even though Henry struggled shooting the ball they still looked for their shots.

Henry struggled to shoot the ball late in the first half. After the altercation, Henry seemed to lose their shooting touch.

At halftime, the score was North 49, Henry 24.

As the second half got underway Henry looked to keep the ball moving down the floor and looked to get baskets in transition.

North’s Brown kept on coming up with mid-range jump shots and layups throughout the second half.

With 12:29 left in regulation. The score was North 72, Henry 38.

North continued to push the ball down the floor and get everyone involved in the offense.

Henry called a timeout with 9:48 left in regulation. The score was North 79, Henry 42.

North kept on attacking the ball down the floor and kept on coming up with shots.

After the altercation in the stands, Henry lost their edge. They were not able to make the shots that they put up. They looked like they were out of sync after the altercation and never got it back.

North came away with the 87-55 victory over Henry.
