MINNEAPOLIS SOUTH TAKES ON EASTVIEW


As this game got started both teams looked to push the ball up the court. Minneapolis South opened the game playing a strong man to man defense. They looked to push the ball up the court and start their offense in transition.



Eastview was able to get out to a fast start. They got out to a 7-3 lead to begin the game. Eastview was able to come out hot and hit shots. They looked to push the ball in transition.



For Eastview Sam Mehr made some smart decisions as she brought the ball up the court. She was able to make some nice passes and smart plays on the court.



South started playing tough man to man defense. That didn’t seem to bother Eastview that much when the game got going.

South spread the ball out on the offensive end. They passed did a good job of passing the ball around the three point line. They were trying to start their offense. They ran a motion style of offense. They had every one passing and cutting. They want Tayler Hill to get the ball.

Eastview was able to make shots early in the game and South had a tough time making their shots in the first half.
At half time the score was Eastview 34 and Minneapolis South 20.

Tayler Hill had 10 points at the half.

As the second half got underway both teams came out a little flat there shots were not going in. it took a while for their shots to start to fall.

Minneapolis South was able to go on a little run early in the second half. Eastview went flat to start the second half. South capitalized on their chance to score as they open the second half.

Eastview got its first shot on a put back by Sam Mehr with 11:00 left to go in regulation. With 10:38 left to go in regulation the score was Minneapolis South 31 and Eastview 36.

South continued making shots in the second half. They really got after it. South did a good job of pushing the ball up the court and they were able to hit shots in the second half.

South was able to get a 42-41 lead with 6:02 left to go in regulation.

Eastview stayed in there zone in the second half. They really tried to get out and cover South’s three point shooters.

This game came down to the wire. Both of these teams played a hard fought contest.

Minneapolis South was able to come from a 14 point deficit and come away with the hard fought victory. The final of the game was Minneapolis South 58 and Eastview 54.

Minneapolis South guard Taylor Hill had a total of 32 points.
