ALBANY WENT UP AGAINST MONTICELLO IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

On Dec. 30 Albany and Monticello squared off in a boys' basketball game.

Monticello pushed the ball down the floor as they looked to score baskets in transition. Monticello’s
Matt Todd was all over the floor. He came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

Albany got everyone involved in the offense. They passed the ball around the 3-point line looking to beat Monticello off the dribble.

Albany called a timeout with 12:34 left in the first half. The score was Monticello 15, Albany 6.

Todd did a good job of making layups in transition. If Todd didn’t think he had a good shot, he would pass it off to one of his teammates.

Albany went to a zone defense that made Monticello pass the ball around the three-point line and take time off the clock.

Albany looked to get steals in their defense and come up with layups.

Monticello struggled to shoot in the first half.

At halftime the score was Monticello 33, Albany 19.

As the second half got underway Albany kept on attacking the basket getting mid-range jump shots and layups.

Albany went to a zone defense. They wanted to make Monticello take deep three-point shots. That didn’t work as Monticello made mid-range jump shots and layups.

Todd continued to come up with deep three-point baskets. The defense had a difficult time slowing him down.

Albany called a timeout with 11:57 left in regulation. The score was Monticello 43, Albany 28.

Monticello came up with rebounds on the defensive end. They were able to push the ball down the floor and score on layups near the basket.

Albany struggled to shoot the ball in the second half. Even though they had difficulties shooting the ball they didn’t give up. They fought hard throughout the game.

Monticello came away with the 63-37 victory over Albany.
