STEVENS POINT WENT UP AGAINST RIVER FALLS IN A MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 20, Stevens Point and River Falls squared off in a men's basketball game. Both teams looked like they were energized to start the game.
 
River Falls looked to move the ball quickly down the floor and score baskets in transition.
 
Stevens Point also looked to move the ball down the floor and looked to take as much time off the shot clock as possible.
 
River Falls got the ball into the hands of Jon Christensen. Christensen came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
 
There was a media timeout with 14:05 left in the first half. The score was River Falls 10, Stevens Point 9.
 
River Falls guard Devin Buckley was able to lock down his guy on defense. He made it difficult for him to shoot the ball.
 
Both teams did a good job of taking time off the clock in the first half.
 
Stevens Point called a timeout with 9:26 left in the first half. The score was River Falls 19, Stevens Point 13.
 
River Falls Brennan Witt came up with 3-point baskets.
 
There was a media timeout with 7:09 left in the first half. The score was River Falls 22, Stevens Point 14.
 
Stevens Point wasn’t afraid to shoot deep 3-point shots. Everyone crashed the boards.

The defensive pressure by both teams made it difficult for the other one to make shots.
 
Christensen came up with deep 3-point shots late in the half.

As the second half got underway both teams took 3-point shots.
 
Stevens Point struggled shooting the ball. Even though they struggled shooting the ball they kept on shooting.
 
Stevens Point’s Stephen Pelkofer came up with 3-point shots.

Stevens Point attack the basket and came up with layups. They looked for their shots with under 10 seconds left on the shot clock.
 
The game was very physical. Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls.
 
There were multiple ties and lead changes midway through the second half.

Both teams had trouble shooting the ball for a period of time.

Stevens Point continued to attack the basket.

The defensive pressure both teams applied late in the game made it difficult for both teams to get
open looks at the basket.
 
River Falls came away with the 56-48 victory over Stevens Point.
 
The leading scorers for Stevens Point were Eathan Bublitz with 10 points and Stephen Pelkfofer with 9 points
 
The leading scorers for River Falls were Witt with 14 points and Pearson with 13 points.
