DELASALLE WENT UP AGAINST ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 2 DeLaSalle and St. Anthony Village squared off in a boys’ basketball game. DeLaSalle St. Anthony started the game in a zone defense.

DeLaSalle swung the ball around the 3-point line as they got everyone involved in the offense.

It took each team a while to get into a shooting rhythm.  

Both teams took a lot of time off the clock on the offensive end.

DeLaSalle’s Austin McGeheran stepped up and knocked down 3-point shots.

St. Anthony called a timeout with 11:01 left in the first half. The score was DeLaSalle 7, St. Anthony Village 4.

St. Anthony got their offense going midway through the first half.

DeLaSalle switched between man-to-man and zone defense throughout the first half. They did a good job of confusing St. Anthony.

St. Anthony called a timeout with 7:22 left in the first half. The score was DeLaSalle 23, St. Anthony Village 9.

DeLaSalle attacked the basket and came up with jump shots and layups. St. Anthony Village struggled to shoot the ball throughout the first half.

DeLaSalle looked to score baskets in transition. They were able to make their layups.

At halftime the score was DeLaSalle 40, St. Anthony Village 22.

As the second half got underway DeLaSalle continued to push the ball down the floor and make
baskets in transition.

DeLaSalle was quicker than St. Anthony Village. St. Anthony Village struggled to make shots in the second half.

St. Anthony Village kept on attacking the basket in the second half. Even though they struggled to shoot the ball they kept on attacking the basket.

DeLaSalle was quicker than St. Anthony Village. DeLaSalle was able to get to the basket and come up with mid-range jump shots and layups throughout the game.

DeLaSalle came away with the 76-48 victory over St. Anthony Village.
