OSSEO WENT UP AGAINST ROBBINSDALE ARMSTRONG IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 5, Osseo and Robbinsdale Armstrong squared off in a boys' basketball game.

Osseo looked to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

Armstrong got the ball into the hands of Race Thompson who drove to the basket and was able to come up with mid-range jump shots and layups.

Osseo struggled to shoot in the first half. They weren’t afraid to shoot the ball, they just hand trouble hitting shots that they put up.

Osseo’s Allan Anderson came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. Teammate Martelius Hughes also came up with some big shots in the first half.

Osseo did a good job of getting the ball to the down the floor and getting it into the hands of Anderson and Hughes.

Neither team went on a huge run in the first half.

At halftime the score was Osseo 43-38.

As the second half got underway both teams continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

Armstrong’s True Thompson came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half. True also came up with some huge 3-point shots.

There were many ties and lead changes throughout the second half of the game. Neither team went on a run early in the second half.

Armstrong got the lead late in the game. Osseo turned the ball over late in the game that lead to layups for Armstrong.

The game came down to the wire.  

Osseo came away with the 79-76 victory over Armstrong.
