MOUNDS PARK ACADEMY WENT UP AGAINST BLAKE IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 19 Mounds Park Academy (MPA) squared up against Blake in a boys' basketball game. Blake was under the new direction of head coach Robert Grace. Grace was promoted when the previous head coach stepped down.
 
Blake pushed the ball down the floor as they looked to score baskets in transition.
 
Blake called a timeout with 12:45 left in the first half, the score was Blake 9, MPA 6.
 
Blake scored baskets in transition. They looked to push the ball down the floor and beat MPA down the court.
 
Blake went to a full court man-to-man press in the first half.
 
MPA got everyone involved in the offense. They did a good job of communicating with each other on the floor.
 
At halftime the score was Blake 34, MPA 26.  
 
As the second half got underway Blake continued to push the ball down the floor and scored baskets in transition.
 
Blake went up a full court press. They wanted to make it difficult for MPA to score baskets.
 
Blake was quicker than MPA.
 
MPA went to a zone defense as they looked to slow down Blake on the offensive end.
 
Blake came away with the 70-48 victory over MPA.
