ROGERS WENT UP AGAINST SARTELL-ST. STEPHEN IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Rogers and Sartell-St. Stephen squared off in a boys' basketball game. Rogers looked to move the ball down the floor and get the ball into the hands of Allen Wilson or Steffan Musoke. Both looked to make mid-range jump shots and layups.

Sartell pushed the ball down the floor and got everyone involved in the offense.

Rogers started the game in a zone defense. That made Sartell pass the ball around the three-point line.

Sartell looked to get the ball inside to Matthew Immelman who looked to make layups on the low block.

Sartell took a timeout with 14:03 left in the first half. The score was Rogers 15, Sartell 9.

Sartell did a good job of communicating on both ends of the floor. They let their teammates know when screens were coming and when they were on the help side defense.

Sartell called a timeout with 10:05 left in the first half. The score was Rogers 23, Sartell 14.

Sartell’s Eric Markman came up with 3-point shots. If he didn’t think that he could make the deep shot, he would drive in for the layup instead.

Rogers came up with some big stops on the defensive end. Sartell had a difficult time making shots that they put up in the first half.

Rogers wasn’t afraid to shoot deep three-point baskets.

At halftime the score was Rogers 41, Sartell 26.

As the second half got underway Rogers continued to push the ball down the floor and looked to score baskets in transition.

Rogers called a timeout with 14:52 left in regulation. The score was Rogers 45, Sartell 32.

Musoke came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half. He wasn’t afraid of contact.

Sartell had a difficult time scoring throughout the game.

Rogers came away with the 75-56 victory over Sartell.
